The dinner was a weird but quiet one, and I was grateful for today’s settings. I and James would always annoy aunty by conversing or making jokes while eating but for some reason today I just wanted that peace. I have never needed anything more than a quiet dinner at the dining table before, and for once I understood why aunty always wanted to eat in silence. She loved that peace and quiet while enjoying a meal. I was not ready to answer any questions by either Lia or her Mum and neither was I willing to do it after dinner also. She being here either meant that she was in support of her and needed clarification from me, or she was here in support of aunty who obviously wants to talk Lia to her senses.
