Shane’s POV
Ryan, Kyle, and half of the warriors ran back towards the pack house with me. The rest stayed behind to escort the two remaining rouges back to the pack land. We needed them to put the pieces together so we could figure out what the hell was going on.
As I ran, I couldn’t help but think of Lia. My thoughts were all over the place. I knew I shouldn’t have left her. If I had stayed, she wouldn’t be in danger right now… She wouldn’t have been hurt. The pain I felt could have only been a fraction of what she felt. We never completed our bond which means that our connection to each other wasn’t at its strongest.
