Talia’s POV
Hearing those words escape Shane’s lips, made my heart stop. Unable to believe that someone was capable of loving me, I looked him in the eyes searching for any kind of regret, but I didn’t find any. I only found love. He looked at me with the most caring eyes. Eyes that spoke louder than the words themselves. Tears started to form in my eyes. I didn’t even know I was holding my breath until I let out a shaky breath.
“I love you too,” I said.
The moment the words left my lips, he cupped my face with his hands and let his lips meet mine. This kiss was different from before. This was not out of lust, but pure love.
