The reason for Jax's smile was his increased sense of security while traveling to the capital, now that he was officially a King of a Tier 2 kingdom and possessed Tier 2 warrior strength. During the Royal envoy's journey, Jax had took the opportunity to upgrade his Town Hall/Palace to the next level. It required him to pay ten thousand coins, and after some negotiation, the head builder agreed to undertake the work. Despite feeling wealthier, Alec couldn't help but grit his teeth in frustration at the thought of losing a tenth of his overall wealth. He still struggled to adjust to the habit of spending money carelessly, and the shrewd smile of the head builder seemed to mock him as he was always ripped off again. After a span of two days, his Town Hall upgrade was completed. And Without wasting any time, Jax immediately commenced the upgrade of his barracks, eager to unlock the next unit of warriors. This was when he acquired the mini giant unit, which resembled a heavy infantry squad when standing together. It was an advantageous addition for Jax because he could use them as shields for his archers on the battlefield. With their large shields and towering bodies, they would have no trouble protecting the smaller archers. The mini giants wore Beast leather armor and wielded a set of five short axes strapped to their waist, further enhancing their effectiveness. After unlocking the third unit of warriors, Jax was finally able to recruit his third hero, Bulwark, also known as the "King of Mini Giants." Jax was instantly captivated by this hero upon seeing him. With Bulwark in his ranks, Jax no longer required constant Guarding from Connor or the Archer Queen. As The responsibility now fell onto Bulwark's capable hands. Jax found great joy in seeing Bulwark clad in full body armor, as he had always been embarrassed by his soldiers looking under-equipped. He had even attempted to equip them with other weapons in the past, but they proved unable to utilize them effectively. Similarly, if they wore armor from external sources, their defense would be weak, allowing any attack to easily threaten them. From that realization onward, Jax chose to leave them equipped with their original weapons and attire. And At Tier 2, the Barbarian soldiers appeared more protected with their leather armor, which now covered their upper bodies, even now wielded great swords instead of the baseball bats they were initially spawned with. As for the Archers that had the chance to take the Tier 2 serum , their outfits had a hint of blue on the edges of their green dresses, and they now carried two small daggers. Jax assumed the daggers were meant to protect them in close combat situations. Jax was incredibly grateful that Bulwark came fully armored, complete with a helmet, a large shield, and a two-handed axe that he seems to be able to hold with one hand and a Axe that seems to be always strapped to his back Bulwark looked like a formidable war machine, and Jax had spent around twenty thousand spirit coins to recruit him. This made Jax eager to throw Bulwark into the midst of orcs and have him kill enough of them to earn back his money. He was relieved that he no longer had to be ashamed of his soldiers' equipment, now that the barbarian soldiers had reached Tier 2, and it was evident that the mini giants were better protected than the previous units. [HERO] Name: Bulwark, "King of Mini Giants" Stars: 2 Key points: - Commander of all mini giants under the King - Incredibly strong - Exceptionally strong defense - A natural war talent; the more battles they fight, the stronger they become, with a love for bloodshed {Special Stats} - Herculean Strength (Level 3) - Axe Mastery (Basic Level 0) - Bash (Level 0) - When killed, can be revived by 1000 Spirit Coins - Stars increase with the level of the Town Hall and through coupons obtained from killing Tier warriors of intelligent beings. Jax choked on his own breath when he first saw Bulwark's status tab. He had Used ten coupons to raise him straight to two stars, as it seemed appropriate, because now Jax practically had no use for a Tier 1 hero, since most of his warriors now had Tier 2 serums. With the extra coupons on hand, he thought it would be worth pushing his new hero to a higher level. Bulwark appeared to be his strongest hero ever, judging by his exorbitant revival fee. The fee alone made Jax gasp as he compared it to the fees for Connor and the Archer Queen. This solidified Bulwark's place as Jax's most powerful hero. Since becoming a Tier 2 King, Jax had also purchased two additional camps, as his camp limit had increased from 2 to 4. Meaning he could now recruit more than 500 warriors to fight under his command, Jax had spent the past three days silently building up his strength. When he received the letter, to show up at the capital, he was filled with eagerness to show off his newfound power to his smug brothers and sisters who would also be present. The main challenge now was the number of soldiers he had. To address this, Jax had made sure to pay the builders enough money to raise the level of the new camps to level three, while also upgrading the two old camps to level four. Since he didn't know how long he would be away in the capital, he instructed the builders to focus on upgrading the new barracks first , as it would be a quicker process than working on the older ones now. This way, he would be able to leave a reliable force of warriors behind to defend the kingdom in his absence, as he planned to leave one of his heroes behind. "Tomorrow, tomorrow I will see the faces of all of them," Jax murmured to himself, clenching his fist tightly. "I will make them eat their words and feel regret for all they have done to you, old Jax, I promise to wash away your shame. Just watch from above as I cleanse your name." Jax said as if he could already visualize their expressions when he arrived at the capital.
