After three days of travel, the Royal envoys finally arrived at the capital of King Jayden.
Without even taking a moment to rest after their long journey, they immediately requested an audience with King Jayden, brimming with anticipation to see him for the first time.
At first, the Royal guards of King Jayden were surprised by their anxious expressions.
However, upon realizing that there were only four envoys instead of the expected five, they knew that something had gone awry during their journey.
The missing envoy, and one more envoy who seems to have lost his hand, only confirmed their suspicions that an incident had occurred.
The guards promptly notified the King that the envoy he had sent to his child village-kingdom had returned and desired to report to him immediately.
Although this situation unsettled King Jayden, as the ruler of a Tier 4 kingdom that had endured numerous battles, he understood that the envoys wouldn't be this eager to see him if it wasn't of great importance.
Therefore, after concluding his meetings with his generals and captains, he requested the envoys to be brought before him.
"My King, my King!, We greet Your Majesty," exclaimed the lead envoy, about to launch into his report before feeling a tug on his clothing.
He realized that he had almost begun speaking without properly greeting the King, or a bow.
Such a mistake could have cost him his life. However, in his excitement to see the King, he had momentarily forgotten basic respect unknowingly, all he just wanted was to make things worse for Jax.
"Speak,"
Commanded King Jayden, casually resting his jaw on his hand as he lounged on his throne.
"Thank you, my King, We have come to report a potential rebellion that might arise in your kingdom if the issue is not addressed swiftly,"
The envoy began, pausing to allow the gravity of his words to sink in before continuing.
Upon hearing the word "rebellion," the King's serene aura immediately dissipated, and the atmosphere in the hall grew noticeably hotter.
The once-kindly King now appeared entirely different, sending chills down the envoy's spine as he met the king's intense gaze.
As a bloodthirsty aura emanated from him, contradicting the nonchalant look on his face.
The mental image formed behind him portrayed a fiery lion, warning all who witnessed it that it would be unwise to provoke this king's wrath.
"Who dares?!"
The king thundered, his voice reverberating off the walls.
His body ignited with four halos of light, resembling flaming rings spinning around his head, displaying his Tier 4 strength.
Unlike other kings in the wasteland who relied on their powerful subordinates, he was a king who led his army and fought on the front lines.
He had built his kingdom from the ground up, as his father had been a mere ruler of a Tier 1 kingdom, leaving him no Huge inheritance.
After his father's passing, he rose to prominence, engaging in battles with the various races in the wasteland, etching his name through victories and defeats in multiple wars.
He never faltered in his pursuit and had reached his current position, but he was not one to be underestimated.
His ambition was to ascend to being a Tier 5 Kingdom king, even if he had reached a bottleneck in his cultivation.
He spared no expense in supporting any generals or captains he felt had the potential to break through to the Tier 5 warrior realm.
Thanks to his investments, he already had ten Tier 5 warriors under his command, needing just ten more to be crowned a Tier 5 kingdom King of the wastelands.
Upon hearing of a rebellion in one of his subsidiary kingdoms, he was filled with a burning desire to eliminate the traitor who dared to turn against him, the one who had bitten the hand that fed him and the umbrella that provided shelter.
He had no qualms about dismantling the royal family there and bestowing the kingdom upon one of his trusted generals, allowing them to claim the title of royalty.
He pondered over who could have the audacity to oppose him, but couldn't quite put his finger on it. With sixteen kings under his command, excluding his thirteen children, the remaining three were...
Being ruled by three Tier 5 generals whom he had crowned as kings under him after nurturing them, only his first child, Jessie, commanded the forces of a Tier 3 kingdom.
The rest of his children's armies paled in comparison, lacking talented individuals and proper equipment. There was no way an army like that could pose a threat to him.
Even if they were led by a Tier 5 warrior, he wouldn't hesitate to decimate them with his Legion of Tier 3 squads, a force he had painstakingly built over years of war experience.
"It's your last child, J... Ja.. Jax," the envoy finally mustered the courage to say, overcoming his fear.
"Huhhhhh?!" The king's response was startled, causing the overbearing aura and Qi that had been emanating from him to dissipate as if it had all been a lie.
Observing the king's newfound calmness and the return of a peaceful aura, the envoy who had been speaking stepped forward with increased confidence.
He intended to further aggravate the injury he had already inflicted.
"See, my king?, He even cut off my hands when I dared to question his decision to raise an army against you,"
the envoy, who held a deep grudge against Jax, revealed.
It was Jax who had severed his hands, rendering him powerless after he had witnessed Jax kill their fellow envoy out of fear that he, too, would fall victim to Jax's crazed actions.
Bottling up his anger, he seized the opportunity to badmouth Jax, Forgetting that the man standing before him was Jax's own father.
Although the other envoys were displeased with Jax's treatment towards them, they remained silent, pushing this clueless envoy to do the talking once again.
He was foolish enough not to realize that he was being used as a pawn to test the waters.
He was their scapegoat, just as they had done in Jax's kingdom.
They had allowed him to speak, basking in his pride of addressing a Tier 4 king.
Growing weary of the envoy's incessant slander without saying anything substantial that would implicate his son in rebellion, King Jayden flicked his fingers sideways.
And the Four rings of flame materialized around his head once again, resembling Flaming angelic halos.
One of the four halo rings soared towards the speaking envoy, deftly severing his head from his body.
Before returning to Spinning Around King Jayden's Head, the envoy's face remained frozen in shock as his body collapsed and his head fell to the ground.
He hadn't even realized when he had overstepped the line, leading to his swift execution.
The remaining envoy trembled in fear, now truly understanding the level of cruelty possessed not only by Jax but also by Jayden.
Their previous impression of Jax as a wicked king paled in comparison to the aura of darkness that emanated from Jayden.
"Now that he's dead, does anyone care to enlighten me with the truth about what really happened?"
King Jayden inquired, a sly smile playing on his lips.
