One : When It Begins
"Anything could possibly go wrong. Well, not the easier to say or thing to do it. It happens sometimes in a blink in the eye,”
“Out of my way, nerd,”
Arthur grunts as they pushed him away to someone's locker. His cerulean blue eyes quickly glanced up to see the jocks snicker to him as he called them, 'the biggest jerks,'. He pushes his big glasses up to his bridge nose as he continued to walk.
He keeps his gaze to the ground but knowing where he is going to through his peripheral vision. He didn't always dare to look up to his surrounding, it just makes him get more odd anxiety. But some of his anxiety went beyond polite decency. He had always been a shy, soft-spoken young boy.
Unfortunately, he is like the invisible sometimes. He's just a Nobody to everyone's eyes. No one ever knows his existence very much, but his tutors, teachers always know him as one of the role models for his grades are perfect and he never drops below an 'A' Somewhat he keeps a low profile so just he is being everyone's shadow.
To his relief, he reaches his locker and his hand is fumbling the pin lock number to get it opens. He smells the strong familiar scents right next to him, but it is a meter away between their lockers, he turns slightly to see his last first crush, Rosalie Darell.
He starts to overwhelmed when he sees her and every single time, he saw her. The way her breath-taking smile with a crinkle in her eyes whenever she talked very gentle like silk. Dammit, she is so gorgeous in his eyes to everyone eyes obviously; her wavy ashy brown soft looking hair looks so captivating over her blade-shoulder, her jade-emerald eyes even more stunning. Her natural makeup looks more like sophisticated. She wore white silk floral-patterned top with light blue tight jeans that stands out her fair skin. She is natural beauty-perfect in fashioned as well.
Sadly, she never notices him, she is way out of his league. It sounds creepy to think that thought of him being Rosalie's shadow again.
Arthur frowns slightly when Thomas Fitzherbert aka Tommy goes to her as she jumped into his arms then they kiss so passionately. "Eww" He thoughts. Yeah, that called the jealousy. He didn't know why everyone in ships them so hard when Arthur knew behind her back, Tommy flirts a lot of girls.
He's not a stalker, that's just a fact and people are so blind. Maybe.
“What are you looking at weirdo!”
He startles when the crumpled paper hits him in the face and he held back his sneeze. His nose sometimes gets sensitive even a touch, he would get a sneeze sometimes. Tommy snickers to him and Rosalie pokes him on the shoulder. “That's not nice, Tommy,”
Arthur quickly looks away, hiding his red face behind the cover. “What? He was looking at us like a creep?” Tommy retorts as he chuckled.
“Still, don't throw things at him though,” Rosalie scoffs.
He almost squeals, smiling like an i***t when she defended him. "She noticed me, oh my God oh my God!" He scoffs on the thought that he just sounds like a girl already. The bell rings, everyone scurry to the class and he quickly checks the schedule and takes the books that he needed to his class.
When he slams the locker door and he clumsy whipped himself around as someone bumped his side and he stumbles back little. "Ah what the fûck?" The fierce female voice exclaims that he assumed she the one he bumped into.
He feels the warm wet through his left upper sleeve. He takes the books to his right hand, not letting this warm water hits them. He looks up unintentionally to the person was wiping her black jeans and tank top with her own plaid dark blue shirt that hang on her waist with an half empty disposable cup in her other hand. His icy blue eyes almost pop out from the socket.
It is the ice wicked queen.
Well, everyone calls her that because of her icy glare could kill the person, cold hearted b***h and for her trademark; her platinum blonde curly bob haircut with an alabaster skin. Dark red lips, kohled eyes and cheeks coloured with rogue. She is beautiful. This one you can't mess her around even the bullies, the jerks. She can attack the hundred people at the same time! ‘well no. That's too much’ but she is the senior that transferred here since a few months ago because the rumors' said that she beat up her bullies until they ended up into ICU back at her former school. Even the teachers feared of her, the school principal did nothing if she causes trouble throughout the beginning. No one gets to know why.
“I-I'm so sorry, I didn't see you,” He stutters so hard, shaking. He closes his eyelids, preparing himself from her punch or something.
But, it didn't happen when the girl looks at him up and down as Arthur seemed to embrace himself from something, "Of course you were, because you close your eyes when you were walking," She scoffs, looking down to her jeans. Arthur opens one of his eye to see she's standing there for moment with the stoic expression he couldn't read the he averts the eye contact. He doesn't know what is he waiting for.
Ice Wicked sighs loudly, "Now you are the responsible for the floor," She dryly comments and she pours the rest of half empty mixed coffee on the floor and surprisingly she takes his hand that he flinches immediately.
The girl grips firm on his hand and gives him the empty cup, that's the longer he has ever hold hand with the girl. Then, she drops his hand and throws her head back with a loud grunt. "So, this is the sign, where I don't need to go to class,” She walks away but strongly brushing her shoulder into his as he stumbled back. He looks down to his navy-blue knitted sweater already stained with the mocha mixed scent but not quite much as he thinks it was.
“Great,” He groans, taking off his sweater and folds it into his locker after the processing to open it back. Lucky, his shirt didn't smell much these stains. Well, it's going to be cold for not having his sweater on. He looks for the bin through the hall until he found it at the second floor. Right now, he got to run to his class since it started a few minutes ago, this school has the sicken rules, one of them is never late after a bell ring, not even a second or a minute; this include to the staffs, teachers and all. He never late to his class. Ever.
Once he enters the biology room, everyone eyed on him. This is the part he hates the most, the f*****g attention. Her teacher, Miss Gemma squints her eyes as she frowned. “Ah, late for five minutes for your attendance, give me a reason why are you late?”
He steps forward as his head lowered to the ground, trying to ignore his surroundings. "I-I'm--"
"I'm here!" Another person interrupts him and everyone's now looking at the person behind Arthur. He didn't even turn around but mentally want to go to his seat.
“Are you lost, boy?” She asks towards the person who exclaimed earlier. When, Arthur had to look at the guy behind him, but the person steps towards to Miss Gemma, Arthur only sees the shaggy brunette hair from the back. “I'm new here, there's the letter from the office,” He hums, giving the white folded paper to her.
She takes it and read the paper as she goes to her desk. The shaggy-haired turned to Arthur as he grinned caused Arthur startles by the gesture for a moment, “You are new too?” He asks loudly enough to let the classmates heard him.
“No, he was just late,” Miss Gemma speaks sternly, as she wrote something on the paper which Arthur flinches slightly. He wishes that he didn't want to get into the detention class. “Oh, I remember now. I met him, he shows me the way,”
Arthur unconsciously looks up with his wide eyes so did Miss Gemma, but she frowns in confusion. “He did?” She asks curiously, crossing her arms.
“Yeah, he was the one early in school, so I just asked him, did I cause him the trouble?” He flashes his grin towards Arthur and Gemma. Arthur blinks, looking up and down to this guy. He wore the leather jacket with the green shirt underneath and black skinny-jeans and vans which he looked dashing for popular kids. He had no idea why is this guy helping him nor he just gets the wrong guy?
Arthur glances the girls who literally drooled over the new guy, because he got a handsome feature on his face. “Sorry there, bud,” He chuckles, patting Arthur's arm which he startles a little bit. “Can you let him pass? I think it's my fault to get him late, Miss--Gemma?” He smirks glancing Miss Gemma tag name.
She bashfully smiles, “Sure, Mr Habrock,” She glances it as she caught his name written on the paper. “Your seat next to him anyway,” She hums as she walked back to her whiteboard to continue writing on her notes.
With that, Arthur quickly back to his seat at the corner as this new guy followed behind. Now, he sits next to him which he grew uncomfortable since he never gets anyone to sit with him before. This new guy keeps glancing him and everyone who now intently looking at them silently.
“Your welcome,” He speaks almost to a whisper.
Arthur glances at him quickly as he frowned. “W-what?”
“I assume the silent treatment that you want to figure out how to thank me,” He chuckled softly. Arthur scoffs unintentionally makes the new guy sniggers. “Name's William,” He holds out his hand for a shake and Arthur glances his hand and his face, looking for his attention. He looks so genuine somehow. Arthur never has the friend in his life even he tried to make a friend with someone he would mess it up and people would find him weird.
“Come on, don't let me hang,” William chuckles and to Arthur own surprise he reaches for it and shakes his hand. “I-I'm Arthur Grayson,”
