CHAPTER 8: FIRST DAY OF CLASSES

1995 Words
One week has passed. The start of classes is about to begin. Czarina is still amazed in her room. It's big and spacious, it is even bigger than their village house. The color of the wall is off-white, and the furniture is made from a first class mahogany wood. Her bed is wide and soft, she almost slept for ten hours straight on her first night in her room. She has her own bathroom and her toiletries are complete. She picked the ironed uniform from the cabinet. She removed her bath robe and put on her uniform. it's a pair of white top long sleeves and a red pleated mini skirt. It is fitted and highlights her narrow waist and firm breasts. The shoes and socks provided are black. "I wonder how's Yin and Kev right now? We haven't seen each other for two days. They seem so busy over something." A knock on the door made her startled. "I'm coming!" She walked and opened the door. "Cza!" Yin greeted her. "Whoa! You look so great in that uniform." "You don't look bad yourself." He's wearing white long sleeve polo with red vest on top, and a black pants paired with black shoes. "Kev's went ahead to the classroom. He will wait for us there." "Okay, let's go." Czarina took her bag filled with school materials and stormed out of her room. They walked together towards the building where classes are being held. "Your room is really peaceful and comfy, mine's not so fine," Kev complained. "Two of my roommates arrived the other day. They are so noisy at night. They snore like a pig." "Is it possible for you to transfer to another room?" "Oh, Kev helped me with that," Yin proudly said. "What kind of help?" She's wondering what these two have been doing for two days. Yin scratched his head. "He asked the principal to give me a part time job so I could support myself while I'm here. Also..." Czarina became curious and suspicious at the same time. "What did you guys do?" "He asked the principal to have an extra bed sent to his room, then he let me move in." He smiled awkwardly. "You what?!" she said, shocked. "Are you crazy? You're sleeping in the prince's room?!" "He wants to. He said we're brothers." "Even though! The king could chop your head anytime!" She can't believe her friend. "Commoners can't even come close to the royal family's carriage, now you're staying in his room?" "Can I say no to the prince?" He sighed. "He offered it, and just stormed inside the principal's office." She just shook her head and took a deep breath. "Don't ask for my help if you get in trouble because of that." She walked faster and left Yin behind. "Cza!" He ran fast to catch up with her. They reached the next building. They walked on the hallway, where students were looking at them. It's odd, but Czarina just shrugged her shoulders. They reached Room B at the far end of the hallway. She opened the door and entered the room. It is still half-empty, and the students inside looked at them. Kev was sitting near the window, the ladies in the class were staring at him, waiting for his attention. Kev looked at their direction and greeted them. "Here!" He waved his hand and pointed to the two reserved seats next to him. The girls looked at them like they were from Nedostojan. They walked closer to the prince and sat at the reserved seats for them. "Thank you," she said. "I heard what you did." "Oh, it's nothing. I'm helping a friend." He grinned. She just sighed and let it go. She can't confront the prince. They were waiting for their instructor when she saw the "straw hat boy" entering the classroom. She called Yin and Kev's attention. He's not wearing the straw hat now and looking fine in his uniform. "He's our classmate," she whispered to them. Other students started coming in, including Kev's cousin Thea, A minute later, a woman came in, wearing a red mini dress with a golden battle armor on top. She's holding a logbook in one hand. She sat on the teacher's table in front. "Good morning, class. I am Cassey Dimitri, your instructor in Basic Master 101. I will provide you with all the basic knowledge about being a Spirit Beast Master." She looked at everyone before continuing her speech. "So we have twenty students in this class. Let me view your profiles before starting our formal lessons for today." Everyone gets nervous while the instructor is reading the master list. "Okay, let me start with Blade Dane. You're at intermediate level one, controlling the metal element. Cool!" she said. "Thank you, Miss Cassey," Blade said. "Next we have Czarina Liu, controlling the fire element, intermediate level four. That's awesome!" "Thank you, Miss," she shyly said. "Next, we have Jed Najo." She looked around. Czarina also wondered who it was. He saw the straw hat boy raising his arm. "Mind control power, intermediate level three. Not bad." Jed just nodded. He didn't even acknowledge the instructor's phrase. "What an ass," Czarina said to herself. "Maple Hao," she called the name of the girl in the green dress. She looks demure and shy. She awkwardly smiled. "Earth element, intermediate level two. Sirie Ellis, water element, same level with Maple. Valk Ellis with lightning element, intermediate level four. This class has so many future Masters." Everyone smiled, some did a high five with their seatmates. "Thea Rue, the daughter of Duke Lance, with the power of illusion. Spiritual power is intermediate level three. Nice!" "Thank you," she said while her chin was up. "Next we have Kev..." She paused upon reading his surname silently. "Zariste, Your highness is controlling snow element, intermediate level two." Everyone in the room murmured. They just found out that their classmate is a prince. "Okay, everyone, can I have your attention now." She walked towards the center of the class. "I checked your profile to know how to start with your training. It seems all of you are still in the intermediate level, and none has broken through yet." The students lowered their heads, some even scratched their faces. "It's fine. You are here in school to learn, to train and become stronger, for you to be useful in our society. You will all be the future of Fantazija." She went back to the table and sat on it. "Let me discuss to you the levels of spiritual power. There are six spiritual levels. These are entry levels which you can acquire at a very young age, Where you can play with a small fire or snowflakes using your fingers." Everyone laughed at her joke. "The next level is your level, the intermediate level, where you can already throw a snowball to your enemy. The third is the lord level where you are ready to have a duel with other students, and you can already join our inter-school tournaments and national tournaments. The kingdom will choose the Royal Masters from this level and up. The position depends on how strong you are. The higher the level, the higher position you can get." "Whoa," everyone said in amazement. She walked around the classroom and studied her students. She waited for any violent reaction from them. "The fourth level is the Supreme level. Only selected individuals are destined to be a Spirit Beast Master. This is the time where you merge with the spirit beast destined to be yours. There's only one type in every spirit beast in every generation. Some of those are the hawk, the tiger, the dragon, the siren, the eagle, sa phoenix, the bull, and many others, but the most powerful ones are the pegasus and the mystical dragon. You all know that the king is controlling the snow dragon. No commoner has seen it yet, not even myself. I wish I could see it. Prince Kev, have you seen your father's snow dragon?" "A few times when I was a kid. He sometimes uses it to entertain me when I'm about to cry." He laughed. Everyone also laughed with his joke. "But he hasn't shown it for a few years now. He said there was no need to do it since there was no danger whatsoever." "It's probably so amazing to see it. Anyway, the fifth level is the heavenly level or sometimes called the minor god. This is the hardest level to reach, but everyone's dream is to break through on that level. Currently, only the king and the queen have reached this level so far." "I hope I can break through to the heavenly level," Blade commented. "If you put more effort, you could," Cassey said. "The last level is the immortality level, or what we call god and goddess level. They have infinite spiritual power. We currently have seven immortals, and one of them is an outcast. You know the story, probably." She sighed. "Each spiritual level has five sub-levels, which is pretty much easy to break through. You'll learn more in the academy." Czarina felt overwhelmed with what she heard. She needs to work harder to achieve at least the lord level to join tournaments and be one of the Royal Masters of the kingdom. ‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎
