Book 2 I hate you! part 1

Embry

I walked along listening to Blair, Ryder, Kala and Ansel talking amongst themselves, I had just filled them in on what Kane had told me last night.

I wasn't really listening to what they were saying I was more focused on leaving Kane back at the house with that b***h Lydia.

Last night was the first night that Kane and I had spent the night together and not spoken, it felt like a thousand miles were between us in bed. I was soo angry, with Lydia for saying what she did but also with Kane, he brought her here in the first place. Whether he had a choice or not I didn't care, this was his pack, so he does have a choice of who crosses that border.

“Embry” Kala sang waving her hand in front of my face.

I shook my head slightly breaking myself out of the trance I was in, “Sorry, what?”

“We were just talking about going to see Rose, what do you think?” She asked.

I shrugged my shoulders “I don't think it would do any harm, I can't help but think there is more to this than we know so any help we can get I will gladly accept”

“We can't all go, it would be too suspicious,” Ansel said, he was right, if we all keep disappearing she will soon become suspicious.

“Yeah your right, you and Kala go, we will head back to the house. If Kane asks where you are I'll say you've both gone on a run” I told them.

“Ok” Kala hugged me, “Kick her ass if she tries anything” she whispered.

“I will don't worry about that!” I smiled as I released her and watched her walk away with Ansel.

“Well I have to go, I have a few things to do are you two ok walking back?” Ryder asked as he pointed back in the direction of the house.

Blair raised her eyebrows at him “I think we can manage a ten-minute walk babe”

He held up his hand in surrender “I was just being a gentleman”

Blair laughed and walked towards him wrapping her arms around his neck “I know, that is one of the many reasons why I love you” she kissed him, as she broke the kiss she pushed him backwards, “now go, we need to have a girly chat and you are not invited” she stuck out her tongue at him as he started backing up again.

“Ow no!” he put his hands on either side of his face looking hurt “I'm missing out on girl talk, how will I ever cope!”

I couldn't help but laugh at his childish manner, Blair on the other hand stuck up her finger and turned pulling me away from him.

“So I say we go back and tag team that b***h, kick her ass over the border line” Blair joked

I took a deep breath exhaling loudly, “If only it was that easy, there is something not right about all of this Blair!”

“Don't you believe Kane?” She asked with creased brows.

“I do! But he still seems different, there is something more going on I can feel it, and I swear if she has something to do with it, I'm going to kill the b***h!”

“Get in line Em, if she is crossing the line or luring my brother away we will all have a problem with her!” Blair stated.

We walked back to the house not saying another word about b***h Barbie, we had to keep things low key as I knew from what Kane had said she was sneaky, she listened to everyone.”

We both laughed as we walked up to the house, it was silent, I looked at Blair confused and walked to the kitchen, it was the last place I saw Kane and Barbie, I listened carefully they definitely weren't here.

“His cars gone,” Blair said as she walked back into the room.

“She must be with him,” I said trying to hold back my anger. I pulled my phone out of my back pocket scrolling down my recent contacts I pressed on Kane's name-calling him, I looked up at Blair who could see the frustration in my face.

The tone rang several times before going dead so I tried him again, still no answer, furiously I fumbled typing out a msg to him

Where are you??

“There must be a valid reason he's gone with her” I looked at Blair who I knew was just trying to calm me. Staring down at my phone I was starting to become more and more impatient waiting on his reply.

“You are f*****g kidding me!” I shouted, Blair, took my phone and read the message on the screen

“The b***h!” Blair said as she looked up at me, she gave me my phone back as she took her own out of her pocket. “I wonder if Ryder knows anything” she found his number and rang him quick.

I listened carefully waiting to hear his voice

“Babe” he answered

“Do you know where Kane is?” Blair asked sharply.

“Yeah, you could say that” Ryder answered hesitantly.

“What does that mean?”

“He and the Bimbo are putting on a nice show for everyone” He practically whispered.

“Show? What do you mean show??” Blair asked sternly.

“Let's just say Kane is training her”

“So they're in the gym?” I shouted making sure he heard me

“yeah,” Ryder answered quietly not wanting to be the bearer of bad news.

I stormed out of the house and began marching around the back, Blair was right next to me, she was already off the phone and I could feel the anger from her, she was as angry as I was.

I saw the large barn minutes later, Kane's car was parked out the front he had obviously driven Barbie here, however, we cut through the forest getting here pretty quickly.

I began to see members of the pack walking past me, some had come from the gym, none of them smiled at me which was very unusual they all gave me a look of pity like they felt sorry for me.

I marched to the gym doors pushing them open I walked inside, I immediately picked up on Kane's scent, then the usual sour overpowering smell soon covered his.

I saw Ryder and some men from the pack first all stood leaning against the wall watching Kane and Barbie play fight on the mats. Her laughter filled the room making, the sound of her cackle made me want to be sick, I walked around some of the machines and suddenly got the full view of what was happening.

Kane was on top of Barbie holding down her arms above her head, she laughed each time he pinned her to the floor. I was struggling to watch what was going on my wolf was pushing hard against me trying to get out at her.

I didn't want to watch this but a part of me did, I wanted to know how far they were pushing each other. they had no clue I was standing here watching, Kane always knew I was close but he definitely has something else on his mind now,

Blair looked and widened her eyes, I held up my finger to say give me one minute as I watched the show. Kane rolled off of him and now she was trying to pin him this time, I could tell Kane wasn't trying, there was no way in hell she could have actually pinned him.

Barbie laughed once more “I win!” she sang as she moved down closer to him, pushing her breast into his eyeline her crop top barely held her boobs in.

I watched further my weight shifting from one foot to another, I was ready to kill, I watched as they both stared into each other's eyes, she began moving her face closer to his. They were going to kiss! My heart began pounding and heat flooded my body as I smelt the arousal coming from the pair of them.

That's it she is dead!

Ryder

I moved towards them, Looking between Kane and Em I knew something was about to happen, I saw Lydia going in for a kiss, I could tell Kane was going to let her, what was he doing? How did he not notice Em right behind him!

I looked at Blair who was just staring at Em, That's when I saw her eyes, Em's eyes, they turned red. She was letting her wolf out and there was no doubt in my mind she was about to kill Lydia, maybe even Kane.

I've seen Em's wolf a few times now, she was big, powerful. I knew she would do damage here, she had fought Kane a few times in training in wolf form and even he struggled to take her down.

She could also change quickly, I always knew Kane could change quickly I always took a couple of seconds longer. But Em could change in the blink of an eye, I had never seen anything like it, even Kane was impressed.

I saw Em's canines come through as she opened her mouth, Blair went to grab her, I knew she was protecting her brother maybe she didn't quite know Em would have this reaction seeing them together like this.

“NO!” I shouted knocking Blair out the way, I jumped forward just ahead of her as Em changed mid-air I saw her snarling teeth bared, she was going straight for Lydia.

I knocked into her wrapping my arms around her belly knocking her off balance, she just missed Lydia as Kane rolled her off of him, Jumping to his feet as I tumbled to the floor with Em.

Kane growled holding Lydia behind him protectively, his eyes were red, his teeth grew to a point ready to attack.

As he noticed me on top of Em who was now back in her human form, Kane walked over to me grabbing the back of my shirt throwing me backwards.

“What the f**k are you doing with her!” He shouted at me walking to my front, I watched as Blair ran to Em to cover her naked body, another member of the pack ran to them with some clothes.

Kane grabbed the front of my shirt now holding me in place “I asked you a question! What were you doing with my mate?” he seethed in his Alpha tone.

I looked him in his eyes which was considered a threat to the Alpha “I was stopping your mate from attacking the person you was about to kiss!” I spat back at him, his eyes changed looking confused by what I said. I pushed his hands away from me as I stepped back, "What the hell are you doing? we've all been here seeing the show you and the bimbo have been putting on" I motioned to several members of the pack dotted around the room.

Kane looked around at everyone, I couldn't really tell by his expression what he was thinking, Embry was now up on her feet walking to my side, she was now wearing shorts and a vest top, Kane looked at her.

"Embry I..." Kane began.

"Save it, I'm not interested!" She said as she walked away with Blair.

Kane sighed loudly as he watched her walk out the door, running his finger through his hair pushing it all back he was about to say something. I stopped him before he had a chance to, "Answer me this, if that was Em with another man doing what you just did what would you do?"

He never answered me, I could see the panic in his eyes, before any more was said he ran out of the gym after Em and Blair.
