Chapter 6

As Heather crossed the border line of Mystic Falls, she felt weird. Like her energy was off, just like it does back home in forks and LA Push.

When she got to her house, it was a wreck like someone had broken in and took her mother. When Heather came out, she was attack but it was only Damon.

"Gee, thanks for the welcoming Damon." Heather had said.

"What the f**k Heather? Why are you here?" He had asked her as he let her go.

"Well long story short I was called to come here by the end of red moon." Heather had told him as she fixed myself. "How did you know I was here?" She asked him.

"I was at Elena's watching over her and heard someone in here. Thought it was the same people that took your mother and Jenna." He had said.

"So what the f**k is going on? Like I said I get a phone call from a strange man because of my mother and friends, that I better come here."

"Let's talk about this in Elena's house. And I'll call Stefan and Bonnie." Damon told her.

Heather nodded then turned towards the mess in the house before walking out of it. She kinda wish Paul had came with her after all. But she didn't want him involved with this type of supernatural. She did miss him and wish she could pack link with him from far away but it only works with so many distance away.

As she came out shutting the door behind her with a hurtful look, like she was gonna cry when someone stepped on the porch.

"Heather!"

Heather dead stopped from where she was for a moment then turned around and saw it was Paul. She was like he knew. Damon on the other hand well he vamped on Paul and had him against the house. Paul was staring to get pissed off until she had got in the middle.

"Hey, hey, stop." Heather said. She pushed Damon away from Paul and looked into his eyes. She touched his face then kissed him to calm him down.

"Heather who is this guy?" Damon asked.

After Heather pulled away from Paul she looked at Damon.

"Damon this is Paul, my imprint, my boyfriend. And Paul this is Damon, a good friend of mine." She had introduced them to each other.

"What is he? He felt stronger than anyone I know?" Paul asked.

"Damon is the vampire that I told you about. The only few vampires that I like. Even though he's a pain in my ass."

"So I'm guessing your the wolf that I've heard Heather talk about to Elena, huh?" Damon asked.

"Yes, I am. So don't piss me off again." Paul told him.

"Damon, the us a minute please. I'll be inside. Just don't tell Elena I'm here yet."

Damon nodded and walked down the stairs. After he was out of ear shot more or less, she took off her bag and set it on the porch, then went to the swing and sat down. Paul following of course.

"Why are you here? I told you not to follow me here."

"I know. After a few hours after you left I went crazy. I went to Ira and told him you left. And asked why? But since Charlie was there he could've the me all the info so he said that you went to your mothers and gave me the address. So I talk to Sam about it. He knew I was hurt after we lost contact with you and told me to go. That they had it from there and that he knew I had to be where my imprint was." Paul told her.

Heather looked down at her hands until Paul had grabbed them. She looked up at him for a moment then got up and dragged him inside the house. When they came in, Paul looked around and saw it was a mess inside.

"What happened?" He asked me.

I stood there and shook my head then started to cry.

"Her mother was taken." I heard a male voice.

My head snapped up and looked by the door. It was Stefan. I walked over to him and hugged him. God I missed his face.

"Paul this is Stefan, Damon's brother. Also a vampire and my best friend."

"Damon said you and your wolf boyfriend was over here. I thought I step in before we went over to Elena's. I know you have a lot of questions what's been going on?"

"I do, like what the f**k is going on? Where's my mother?" She had asked him.

"She was taken by an original vampire, none as Klaus Michaelson. He's trying to break this curse."

"What kind of curse?" Paul had asked? "And what is an original vampire?"

"An original vampire is where a witch turns you into a vampire. The very first vampire ever made and down the line for generations or year and so on, they turn others into vampires." Stefan explained to Paul.

"Are they like the Cullen's?"

"No, they are not. I can break his neck and he would come back alive in just a few hours. Where the Cullen's they would just die. Anyways back to the curse?" Heather told him.

"He's trying to break his werewolves side of his."

"Wait what?" Paul and Heather asked.

"Yes, before he became a vampire his mother bedded with a man that was part wolf and when he was turned he done his first killing and it triggered his werewolf but his mother had put a curse on him where he wouldn't let the beast out but he's trying to break it. He needs a wolf, a vampire, a witch, and of course Elena to break it all."

"Wait Elena? Why her, she human."

"Her blood is the cure for it. You remembered Katherine her doppelganger, well since he can't find her he's using Elena. He had his own witch, he did had Tyler and Caroline but we broke them free but before we did he took your mother and Jenna. He turned Jenna into a vampire. That he says and somehow he found out about you being a wolf. So he had took your mother. But he did take Tyler's friend Jules and she's a werewolf." Stefan explained.

Heather shook her head. She couldn't believed what she was told. Her mother was human she had nothing to do with any of this. She was stuck with words. Paul had wrapped his arms around her knowing she was in pain. Her mother was just taken by the most dangerous man alive and she couldn't do anything to stop it.

"I need a drink." That was all Heather had said then walked out, grabbing her bag and took off into a run.

Paul couldn't even get to her in time before she had shifted and token off into the trees. But Stefan took him over to Elena's so he could chill out until it was time for Heather to come back.

Elena was shocked to see him but knew who he was. She was a little hurt that heather had taken off before saying something to her.

"Do you think she would do something, to find him or her mother?" Paul had asked them.

Damon was the one to speak. "I don't know. Maybe, its her mother and Klaus had called her to come here."

"Wait Heather's here?" Bonnie had asked as she came into the house with some books. "Who's he?"

"That's Heather's wolf boyfriend." Stefan had told her.

"So where's Heather?" Bonnie asked.

"Took off, said she was getting a drink?" Paul had said. "But the problem is she don't drink." Paul had said.

"Yea, she don't." Elena had said. "Bonnie can you track her?"

"I'll need something of hers." Bonnie said then Damon vamped out of the house for a few moments then came back in with something in his hand.

"Will this work?" He handed it over to Bonnie.

It was a necklace that her mother had given to her when she was a child. It had a wolf on it and Heather wore it a lot when she was a kid but token it off before her last birthday, before she turned.



About 20 minutes, Bonnie had a map laid out, a few candles around the table them started to say some words.

"She's at the grill." Bonnie said.

"So she did go get a drink." Paul said.

"Wait it's moving again." Elena said.

They all watched the dot of the map move. It was running fast, so she was in her wolf form.

"The dot is going fast?" Bonnie said.

"Its because she's in her wolf form." Paul had said.

They all looked at him for a moment then back to the map. The dot had stopped and it was showing that she was in a forest.

"That's where we had found Tyler and Caroline at." Stefan had said.

Then out of no where, things were being thrown into the house. Then a very angry voice was speaking.

"Better bring me Elena now or the wolf girl and her mother gets it. She's already pissed me off today." The man had said.

Everyone looked at Elena then at Paul. They knew who it was other than Paul but he was thinking what his imprint has done to make him so pissed off.

Then Stefan had came out of the kitchen into the hallway where be could see the very angry person and it was no other than Klaus.

"Ah, Stefan. Where my lovely blood bag Elena?" Klaus had asked.

"She's not here?" Stefan had said.

"Of course she is. I can hear her heart beat with a weird different kind of heart beat. Just like Heather's. Is there another wolf just like her here?" Klaus had said. "Show your self or the wolf gets it."

Paul was getting very angry that he could've control himself. Everyone saw he was shaking and then out of nowhere he had shifted knocking the table and chairs away. Paul had walked through the kitchen into the hallway facing the vampire.

"Wow, you sure are huge. That must be a male thing, because I've seen Heather's wolf and she's a little bit smaller than you."

Paul had growled at him. But Stefan stood in front of him.

"Give me Elena now and I'll let her aunt Jenna go." Klaus said. "I haven't changed her yet, by the way. She's still human, Elena. If you come now I'll give her to you."

Then Elena came out of the kitchen ducking under Paul's tail and stood beside him. Paul turned his head to look at her with pleading eyes not to do it. Elena placed her hand onto Paul giving him a few pets then walked close to the door.

"You swear you'll let my aunt go and leave Heather's mother alone." Elena asked him.

"Yes, just come with me. And they all can go." He told her.

"Give me a few moments to my friend and tell them goodbye." Elena said.

Klaus nodded and walked away from the door. Elena walked back into the kitchen. Paul shifted back into his human form, naked of course, making the girl look the other way.

"Anyone got clothes I can borrow?" Paul had asked them.

"Yea, go to my brothers room. Y'all about the same size I think." Elena told him.

Paul had ran out the room up the stairs to Jeremy's room. While Elena had talk to the others. While they were discussing their plan, Paul had saw pictures of Heather and some boy. They were cute together, then Paul had thought about what Heather had told him about her ex that she had to break up with him because of what she was.

Once he was dressed, he had came down and saw Bonnie saying some words but was mouthing them. Stefan turned to Paul and put a finger to his mouth and pointed to his ear then to the door. Paul had nodded.

"Are you done in there, dear child?" Klaus had yelled from the porch.

Bonnie nodded her head towards everyone then Elena walked out the kitchen.

"Okay, I'm ready. But Stefan is to come with us to received my aunt Jenna then leave."

"Of course." Klaus had said.

Elena and Stefan was walking out when Paul thought about Heather. So he went to step up to them, when Damon stopped me.

"I know what your thinking? Your thinking about Heather. She can handle herself." Damon had said.

"I know she can. That's what were made of. We're born hunters, cold blooded killers, killing one thing and that's vampires." Paul told him. "So what's the plan with Elena?"

"I put a spell on her so if Klaus does the spell and "kills" Elena, She'll come back alive. I just hope he let's Jenna and them go." Bonnie said.

"While Bon Bon here does her magic you and I are going to go to those woods and try to save your girlfriend, my friend. Just don't get noticed." Damon told Paul. "Can you keep up with me in your wolf form?"

"Please, I could kill you in a blink of an eye. Just be lucky, that your my girlfriend's friend."

As Damon and Paul ran to the woods where they last found Heather at, on the map. But meanwhile, back in the woods, Heather was stuck in a circle away from the others but when she came to, she saw her mother in the same circle as Jenna and another circle with I'm guessing was Tyler's friend Jules.

When Sandy saw Heather was awake, she spoke to her.

"Heather, what are you doing here?"

"I could ask you the same thing mother."

"I don't know why I'm here. A man had took me and said he was gonna use me to get to you." Sandy had said.

"Ah your awake." The man that had took Sandy had said.

"Elena, Stefan!?" Sandy had yelled.

Heather turned around and saw both Elena and Stefan with the man. The man threw Elena in one of the circles like the rest of us.

"Let them go!" Heather had yelled.

"I will, just not right now."

"Klaus you lied to us." Stefan had said.

Then he vamped over to Klaus to attack him but Klaus had staked him in the back before he had the chance then threw him a few yards away from them. I was starting to get pissed and h mother saw that.

"Heather, calm yourself."

"Mother I can't." I said through my teeth.

I could feel myself starting to shift but I done what my mother had told me to do.

"The moon has reached its 8 PEX. Its time." A woman had said to Klaus.

Then Elena's aunt Jenna started to wake up and looked around her. Until she saw Elena then Sandy.

"Elena, Sandy?"

"Aunt Jenna, its going to be okay."

"No its not Elena. Klaus fed her his blood and snapped her neck." Sandy had said.

"How do you know?" Elena asked Heather's mother.

"Because I'm her meal."

"What! No, no no no, you can't be!" Heather screamed. "How could you! You monster!"

As what Heather had heard only fueled her anger more. She was so pissed but she held her shifting. That moment, Jules had woken up and started screaming in pain. She was in middle of shifting for the full moon.

"Elena, I only wanted best for Tyler. I didn't want him to be alone."

As she said that, her ring of fire went away, where she ran out and wen to attack Klaus but he had flipped her and ripped out her heart. Then it was Jenna's and Sandy's ring of fire. Sandy looked at Heather and Jenna looked at Elena.

"Heather look away, honey." She told her daughter.

"Elena, its fine. I know what to do now." Jenna said as she vamped over to Sandy and suck her teeth into Sandy's neck.

"Noooo!" Heather screamed then shifted into her wolf form.

Heather started growling only making Klaus grin more and more until he had stabbed Jenna in the heart making Elena scream "No!".

As we watched Jenna turn grey from dying it was Elena's turn. Klaus looked at Heather for a moment laughing a little then walked over to Elena.

"Its your turn now." Klaus told Elena.

Elena walked over to the stump by the fire and looked at Heather only making her more pissed off. The she heard Paul's voice in Ber head.

"Heather, don't worry. Damon and I are coming for you guys."

"Its to late. Its over!" Heather told him.

That's when Klaus had bit into Elena and Heather saw the life drain out of her. Heather howled in pain for the loss of her friends and family. She couldn't believe what she had saw really happened. Just then Paul had ran over and attack Klaus just as he let go of Elena and Damon had bit into the witches neck killing her as well. But before Paul would do any damage to Klaus, he had took off somewhere. Paul was about to go when Stefan had yelled out in pain, trying to get the stake out of his back. Paul had walked over to him and got the stake in his mouth and pulled it out of his back.

"Thank you Paul." Stefan told the wolf.

When Damon had fully killed the witch, Heather's ring of fire died down letting her run over to her mother. Heather nudged her muzzle against her mother's side to tell her to get up but Heather knew it was no use for it. Sandy was long gone but she was hoping she come back alive.

After a few moments of knowing her mother was not coming back, that she was dead, she howled in pain. Howled up to the moon. Paul had walked over to her, sat next to her and put his head under her neck.

He felt bad for her and felt like he couldn't do anything about what had happened. It was like he could have helped save her mom but it was to late. There was nothing he could do for her other than just be there for her.

After a few hours, Heather had passed out from feeling numb from the pain of loss and she shifted back into her human form. So Paul had somehow carefully slide her onto him and ran for her house. Stefan had Elena already at her house waiting for her to wake up. Damon came over with Paul to help keep him company until Heather had woken up.

After Elena had woken up, even though she felt sad fr her loss as well but Sandy was like a mother to her, so Elena had all her friends and her brother come over to Heather's house and helped clean it up for Heather while she was asleep.

While Jeremy and Tyler was finishing up the living room, Paul had sat down and looked at the wall above the fire place, looking at a picture of Heather and her parents. That's when he thought about calling Ira.

"Hello?" Ira had answered.

"Ira, its Paul."

"Hey, so how is everything down there?" Ira had asked.

"Ima need you to come down here. Sandy's dead."

"What? What happened?" He had asked Paul.

"A very bad man had killed her." The young man told the older man. "Just come down here for your daughter, she's not in a right state of mind right now."

"Where's Heather at right now."

"She's asleep."

"Okay. I'm running down I'll see you in awhile." Ira told him then hung up.

After they hung up, Tyler and Jeremy came over to Paul.

"Hey, your friends of Heather right?" Tyler asked.

"More like boyfriend. But yes."

"Damon had told us that your a wolf." Tyler started to say. "How does that work, do you shift on a full moon or what?"

"I can shift whenever I want. Only thing that triggers it for the first time is a vampire coming into town. But with me, the slightest thing that makes me angry, I can shift." Paul told them.

"Cool, wish I were like you. I have to wait til the full moon." Tyler told him.

"So is that why she left me. I mean she told me she couldn't be with me but never told me why." Jeremy had asked.

"We're not supposed to tell anyone but yes. She left you so she wouldn't hurt you. Plus even if she was in love with you it would have been hard for her to try not to get pissed off around you and shifted. But with both of us its somewhat better. Technically, we're the first pair of wolves that's ever imprinted on. Usually a wolf imprints on a human but things have changed." Paul told the young boy.

After a little about midnight, the front door had opened, making all of us jump. It was no other than Ira, Sam and Jacob. Paul had got up and walked over to them.

"Why did you two come?" Paul asked Sam and Jacob.

"Because I came for my friend." Jacob said.

"And she's part of my pack. I'm the alpha so I had to come." Sam told Paul as he looked at all the people in the house.

"Where is she?" Ira asked.

"She's up in her room." Elena said. "You must be her father."

"I am, you must be Elena. I've heard so much about you." Ira had said as he walked into the living room with Sam and the others.

"It felts weird in this room. Like both vampire and wolf in here." Sam had said.

"There is," Paul said. "Tyler is a werewolf and Stefan and Damon is a vampire. But the good kind, they tried to help save Sandy."

"Wait how did you know what we were?" Tyler asked.

"He's our alpha so he has better sense of smell." Jacob told them.

After a while of talking Ira had went upstairs to Heather's room and sat in there waiting for her to wake up.

While everyone was drinking coffee, the door had opened again and it was Elena's other and only guardian, Alaric. When he came in, he dropped a bag and went straight for Elena and hugged her. He felt bad for everything. That he lost his girlfriend and a friend over because of a curse.

"Ric, please tell me those are all the tools we'll need?" Damon had said looking in the bag.

"Most of it." Ric had said.

"Most, where's the rest?" Damon asked.

Then here came Heather walking down the stairs.

"We won't need it." She had said making everyone look at her.

Paul had walked over to her but pulled away from him.

"What I can do, it all we need and I'm gonna end his life." She had said.

"No your not." Paul had said.

"The hell I am. He killed my mother, he's gonna pay for what he did."

"Well I say no your not." Sam had said.

Heather looked at him for a second and spoke. "The hell I am. If your with me or not."

"Your not and that an order, Heather." Sam had said stepping up to her standing tall while she's whimpering, slowly going down on her knees. "We have a job back home to take care of, your friends here can handle it."

"He's right Heather." Her father had said coming down the stairs. "Well have the faunal for Sandy and Jenna in a few days but other than that, were going back home."

"The Cullen's are all back and we have a red headed vampire to catch and kill." Jacob said. "She's still coming around."

Heather was quiet and looked at the others. She took a deep breath and nodded her head. She did have a job to do back home and that was to make sure Bella was safe. Elena and the brothers said they would call if they needed the help but they told her that they were gonna keep her far away from this as possible.

A few days later, they buried Sandy and Jenna next to each other at the grave yard and said their respects to them and they moved on.

Ira, Heather, Paul, Sam, and Jacob had token off the very next day after the service to get back home. Just in time for Heather to finish up her last few months of school so she could graduate high school.

But the whole time she was in school, she had thought about Klaus killing her mother and how he was gonna get stopped. But for the time being, the red head was first.

Sorry if this chapter took so long, I've been busy with work and trying to get some of my other books caught up as well. So hope y'all enjoyed this chapter so far. I know I did when I was writing it, I felt the pain and loss of Heather and Elena. Hopefully for Heather's sakes that she doesn't run into Klaus again but who knows. Keep reading on to find out.
