After talking a bit more, I decided to return now, so I bid Lily and Amara farewell.
"Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but I have to go now," I said politely, excusing myself from them.
Lily turned towards me with a warm smile, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "No problem at all," she replied cheerfully, waving me goodbye as if we were old friends.
"We'll see you around campus then?" she asked hopefully.
I nodded firmly in response before turning away and striding confidently back towards where my sisters were waiting for me.
