“Can you believe that?” Leonardo tossed his coat to the bed while struggling with his tie. “he plans to sell the company off to that witch” he yelled successfully yanking off his tie. Liana moved over to pick up the tie that now laid on the ground. “I don’t see why you are angry, you did a bad job managing the company and now they are offering you a solution” “Don’t begin with me woman” he moved to sit on the bed and her eyes followed him. “Watch your tone with me” her voice had sounded sweet but cold at the same time, she picked the coat from the bed and walked over to the wardrobe. “If you have a better solution maybe you should do that while you still can” she added hanging the coat and placing the tie into the drawer. “Tch, I can’t use funds from the mall and the hotel is about to hit rock bottom” “I heard Louis had some ideas about the hotel” she sat by him “Yes, I plan on leaving the hotel in his care, you and Damien are already doing a good job running the mall, now all I need to think of is the jewelry company. The damn witch just had to go into jewelry as well” he sighed pinching the bridge of his nose. “You won’t blame her; you do what you must to make money” “Who’s side are you on anyway” he glared at her and she frowned. “Don’t look at me with such eyes, if you have problem you solve it” she pulled to her feet pissed. “Why is she getting mad?” he asked as he watched her step out of the room. “I didn’t even get time to talk to that brat… I should pay her a visit” he noted falling to the bed. … Kaya stepped out of the office exhausted, luckily she had finished everything she needed and planned to head home for a nice nap, she walked out of the building and through the parking lot when she caught a glimpse of someone standing by a car. Ryan. He waved her over and she suddenly remembered the dinner plan. “I decided to give you a ride” he smirked. “Have you been waiting here?” she asked confused. “I thought you’d never come out” he laughed. Moving over to the passenger’s side of the car, he pulled open the door gesturing her to step inside. There was no avoiding this now, she had to go for dinner together. She moved to take a seat in the car. Ryan locked the door and hurried over to the driver side. Mikael sat in the back seat of a car not too far from the vehicle Kaya had entered, he had seen her get into the car and although he hadn’t gotten a clear picture of the man that had come to pick her, he couldn’t fight off the familiar feeling. “Sir, everything is ready” Liam pulled open the passenger’s side of the car with some document in his hands. “We can get going now” he added referring to driver who turned on the ignitions. Kaya sat quietly throughout the ride and was glad that Ryan hadn’t decided to start up any conversation. The car pulled up in front of a restaurant after a thirty minutes’ drive and they both alighted the vehicle. Rachel happened to be visiting the same restaurant with some friend when she sighted Kaya, her jaws dropped when she noted the person she was with. – Ryan Lawson, sole heir of the Lawson Group and major rival to the Golden hands construction company, not many people were aware what he looked like but she had been opportune to meet him once. To think she would see him again in such a scenario was quite intriguing to Rachel. She didn’t care what relationship the two had but she was sure that this piece of information would help her deal with Kaya. Excusing herself from her friends, she located a better position in which she could take clear pictures of Kaya and Ryan. “You just dug your own grave Sinclair” Kaya sat uneasy in the restaurant, she was definitely not dressed for somewhere this fancy. “Kaya, I’m so glad to finally see you again” Ryan grinned handing her the menu of which she placed aside. “I don’t have time for games Ryan, say what you want so I can leave” “Games, I am not playing games with you” he leaned over the table to touch her hand but she pulled away. “I love you Kaya, I really do… I wish you could see just how much you mean to me” “Sadly I can’t” he grimaced at her response. “I told you I am sorry and I know it doesn’t make up for the pain I caused but please I just need you to give me another chance. Just one more chance. I came back for you” “And your fiancé? She's probably your wife now” “I called off thing with her a long time ago. I just couldn’t stop thinking of you” he took in a deep breath. “When I left that was all I had in mind. I needed to sort out things with my fiancé and her family before I could fully come back to you. I didn’t like lying to you. It tore me up, I couldn’t even tell you I was leaving but honestly I thought I’d be back immediately. Calling off the wedding came with a price, one I had to pay. I am sorry it took this long but I’m here again and I am not leaving you” “You didn’t try contacting me” she didn’t want to believe his words but her past emotions were ready to get the best of her. “I did, I swear but it seemed you blocked me completely and even changed your line” he sighed staring into her eyes. “I didn’t want to hurt you but I ended up doing that” he took his head down wiping off the tears in his eyes and tears welled up in hers. “Please give me a chance” he took his eyes back up to watch her.
