CHAPTER 1 - FIRST TIME

The soft feel of his lips against hers made her heart melt, she didn’t resist anymore. Not like she felt it was hopeless to but she was enjoying it, his touch, the feel of him against her. Her back shivered as it came in contact with the cold floor of the hotel. The silence all around them, only her soft moan and his breath distorting this silence. She took her eyes up, staring at the beautiful carvings of the ceiling – asking herself what she was doing? This was the director of the Golden Hands Construction company, this had definitely not been planned and she barely knew him. She shut her eyes trying to lose her thoughts, only to think of this very moment. The heat between their skins as they came in contact with each other and his breath against her. “I am sorry” those words broke through her consciousness and she forced her eyes open, she was all alone in the hotel lobby lying naked on the cold floor. She sat up trying to understand what had happened, a cream coat falling from over her as she did – she placed her hand through her silky black hair, staring around in search for the man that had taken from her what she’d protected for so long; her innocence. She stood to her feet holding unto the coat that had the rich smell of his perfume on it, feeling a light pain between her legs as she approached where her clothes laid. Picking them up, her eyes sighted something peeking out of her bag and she reached for it, she picked it up only to see an envelope with a check in it – it was from him. “What the hell?” her face immediately went sour. Did he really see her as a cheap girl? Was this p*****t for her service? The thought made her almost go crazy, she couldn’t wrap her head around it, didn’t know how to react at all. “Kaya!” her roommates called the moment she pushed open the door of her apartment, the worried look on their faces made her feel more disgusted in herself than she did before. She had told them she was on her way before she ran into the director, her phone most definitely was filled with a lot of miss call from them. “Shelia… Mina, I am so sorry. Something came up and I forgot to call” “You should have at least picked up your phone, I could barely sleep last night. I was just about to call the cops” Mina sighed, her brunette hair tied messily and her face looking drained, the words last night just made Kaya feel uncomfortable and she didn’t know how to explain what she had experienced to her friends. It was better she kept it to herself. “I’m going to get a shower and head out or I’ll be late. I am really sorry girls.” Mina could read through Kaya like a book, she knew that something was wrong but why didn’t she want to tell them. They’ve never hidden anything from each other. Kaya hurried over to the room locking the door behind her, she made her way into the shower, immediately turning it on as she stepped in. She allowed the tears to roll down freely feeling really disgusted with herself. What were you thinking? She screamed hoping the sound of the shower had overshadowed her voice, the last thing she wanted was her friends troubling her to find out what happened. Every time she closed her eyes she’d remember the feeling of the night before and the check that had been left in her bag, what had she expected in the first place. If she hadn’t insisted that she needed to complete the survey that night, if she hadn’t walked up to the director to find out if he was okay, if she hadn’t had a few drinks with him till he was dead drunk, if she hadn’t given up on resisting, if she hadn’t given in to him. It was all in the past now… there was no way to turn back the time, all the regrets were pointless as she couldn’t do anything about it now. She scoffed as she thought back again. Kaya Sinclair walked confidently into the company building dressed in a cream chiffon and a black leather skirt with a pair of ankle boots, she had her purse and a shopping bag in one hand. She had made up her mind, this never happened… she walked into the elevator, heading to the floor where the director’s office was located. The director was a young man in his early twenties, he was tall and had a calm charming look. His hazel eyes rested on her the moment she stepped in and he quickly took his eyes away. He couldn’t believe he had acted so foolishly. “Good morning Sir” she greeted as she approached his desk placing the check and the shopping bag on his desk. “We both made a mistake last night so let’s leave it as that. I hope in the future you will act more appropriately when you are drunk” she gave a short bow before stepping out of the office. He wanted to call her back but he had no idea what to say… his eyes slowly falling to check, then over to the shopping bag that had his coat. … The maniacal laughter of Ash irritated Mikael who was trying to figure out a solution to his problem. “I can’t believe you left her a check” his laughter continued, he really couldn’t believe his ears. “I was confused okay? And whose fault is this anyway” he frowned trying to wrap his head around what he had done the previous night, he couldn’t control himself and had made a huge mistake – how was any of this funny. He really wished he could punch Ash in his face. “I was just messing with you, Who’d have thought you’d be in an empty hotel with a pixie. You looked so down yesterday after meeting with your mother, just wanted to shake you up a bit” Ash laughed out again trying to recreate the scene in his head. He had imagined his friend would be home alone when he spiked his drink, it was just for fun but something unexpected had happened instead. “Christ! Shut the f**k up, you are not helping at all” Mikael yelled, he couldn’t contain his anger anymore. “Dude I am sorry” there was a sudden silence as the two friends stared at each other. “Just forget it” “So what do you plan to do?” Ash leaned closer to his friend, Mikael grabbed a glass of whiskey from the counter that laid in front of him. He took it down in one gulp letting out a sigh. “She said we should pretend like it never happened, so I’d just respect her wishes” he pushed his hand through his hair, pouring himself another drink with his free hand. “Damn! What the hell were you really thinking in the first place, giving me something like that” he took another full glass in one gulp and filled the glass a third time. “Look I am really sorry, I had no idea something like this was going to happen” he held down the glass Mikael was about to take to his mouth but his hand was rudely pushed off. “Dude stop drinkin…” “There you are?” a female voice called out from behind them and Ash turned over to see who it was. His face immediately turned sour as his eyes landed on the blonde. She was definitely the last person Mikael wanted to see. “Mika darling” she threw her hand over him, her blonde hair falling on his shoulder… her lips came in contact with his cheek. “Oh come on, why are you in such a pouty mood?” she said as she placed her leg over him trying to look into his eyes. “Come on Anna, you should learn to read the room” “Well my darling isn’t complaining” that was indeed a surprise, Ash observed his friend wondering if he was okay. “Honey” Anna called in a singsong voice, a charming smile resting on her face. Mikael lifted his face to hers, with a blank expression on it. “I was giving you a chance to get off yourself” he pushed her off causing her to land her back against the edge of the counter. “Mikael!” Ash called out as Anna cried out in pain. He was aware that his friend had decided to lock his heart and was trying to get Anna to hate him but sometimes he felt that he took it too far. The young director paid no attention to the two as he walked out of the room, he was sorry that he had pushed her but he wasn’t in the mood for her right now. “Are you okay?” “No” Anna cried From that tone Ash was sure she was going to tell her father and Mikael’s mother was going to end up hearing about it. …
