After the school day had come to an end, I found myself struggling to maintain the facade of Lucian, a charade I had kept up throughout the entire day, despite having no clue about what I was supposed to be teaching.
Finally, the weight of the act lifted, and Lucian and I made our way into his territory. Surprisingly, there was no sign of anyone around.
Breaking the silence that hung between us, I asked, “Don’t you feel weakened in my body from not having to drink any blood?”
