We both looked at each other with surprise. I froze in my spot and started to stare at him without blinking.

I mentally cursed myself, wishing I was dead. Every moment that I was living in Evie’s body was a challenge for me. Every day in this new life was full of new people, new experiences, new places with a lot of surprises.
