CHAPTER 18 – Sam’s in danger
Cherry’s POV
My whole body started to shake with terror. It was Zane’s voice. Did he return already? I thought he would take about an hour. What should I say now? I didn’t know how many lies I had to spit out in this life. I slowly turned around to see Zane’s questioning face looking at me.
“I…. I…Ummm…. I wanted to go to the bathroom,” I stuttered, but managed to complete my sentence in the end.
“You want to go to the bathroom? Then what are you doing near this door? And not even an hour has passed since you went to the bathroom and now you want to go again?” Zane’s questions were endless.
“Ummm…I think it’s because of the medicine. I came to the door to knock and ask your father where’s the bathroom is,” I replied.
