Chapter 3 Sinfúl eyés

NAGHAHANDA si Nathalie ng mga pagkain kasama ang mga katulong para sa pagdating ng bagong asawa ng kanyang ina.

Alas siyete na ng gabi at kakatapos lang nilang magluto, ngayon ay inilalapag na nila ang mga pagkain sa hapag kainan.

With a deep sigh, she joined the servants standing in a row on the side of the table. She was used to this. She is always helping their maids prepare food, clean and water the plants, as well as mop the floor of the mansion. That's what she does whenever she's at home.

Ano ba ang magagawa niya kung harap-harapan siyang ipinagtatabuyan ng Ina niya? her mother even forces her to separate, making her always look like she was just an adopted child.

"Opo madam" tugon ng mga katulong.

Nanatili naman na nakatungo si Nathalie upang umiwas sa tingin ng kaniyang ina.

"Good, you may sit and feel at home" she was talking to her new husband "By the way, this is my daughter, Vanessa Herrera. She is my daughter from my first husband."

"Good evening Tito" ani Vanessa.

"Ow my lovely daughter, you can call him Daddy from now on" anang kanyang ina.

"D-addy " malamyos ang boses ni Vanessa ng bigkasin niya ito, matagal na panahon na kase ng huli niyang bigkasin ang salitang iyon.

NATHALIE'S P.O.V

I looked straight at them and my eyes widened when I saw "Blaze", I whispered.

Narinig pala ako ng aking ina "How dare you call him by his name, learn to respect if you don't want to be kicked out of this mansion."

"Enough Sam, you're the only one making it seem like a big deal" ani Blaze na ikinatahimik ng aking Ina ngunit masama na naman ang tingin niya sa akin.

Umupo sila upang magsimulang kumain habang ako ay nakatayo sa gilid kasama ang mga katulong at hinihintay silang matapos.

"Why don't you sit down and eat" paanyaya sa akin ng asawa ni Mom ngunit hindi ko alam kung dapat ba akong umupo sa tabi nila.

I did not say a word but looked at my mother to ask her permission. She was looking at me sharply so I just averted my eyes, I no longer expect to catch up with them to eat.

"Please Join us, Nathalie, you may sit here," Blaze said again.

"H-indi na ho, busog pa ako" I replied. I was about to leave when mom spoke.

"S-it Down, Sumabay ka na" sabi ng aking ina na ikinagulat ko. hindi na ito nag-abala na tapunan ako ng tingin at patuloy lamang ito sa pagkain.

Ngumiti ako, saka tumabi kay Vanessa, napatingin ako kay Blaze. "Thank you", I said in a whisper using my mouth motion. Ngumiti lang siya sa akin at saka pinagpatuloy ang pagkain.

They chatted while eating while I ate quietly and did not bother to mingle with their conversation.

"How about you, Nathalie? Do you have special someone?" biglang tanong ni Blaze sa akin.

Nag-uusap sila kanina at tinanong si Vanessa kung may boyfriend na ba ito at ngayon ay nabaling sa akin ang usapan na hindi ko inaasahan... halata naman kase na ayoko makisama sa usapan nila.

I hummed "hmm wala" tipid 'kong sagot, sumabat naman ang aking Ina.

"No one is trying to woo her because she is a dirty woman " anang kanyang ina, napatungo na lamang sa hiya si Nathalie. "May boyfriend siya noon, pero inayawan siya dahil may ibang gusto, well sino ba naman ang magkakagusto sa katulad niya... if i were you I would just keep it a secret because it's embarrassing... and I still don't believe you were rape—"

"Mom, tama na—" Vanessa uttered.

I held Vanessa's shoulder to stop her... ayoko kase na ako pa ang maging dahilan ng pag-aaway nila "It's okay Van."

Vanessa just looked at me "you're so cowardly", she whispered.

"I know," I whispered.

I slowly stood up and I saw my mother's husband looking at me so I immediately look away "Tapos na ho ako kumain, mauna na ako sa inyo," I said but my mother didn't even pay attention to me. That's why I immediately left the dining area and went to my room.

It was only then... I breathed properly.

I went into the bathroom and soaked my body in the lukewarm water of the bathtub to refresh myself. My eyes were closed as I was submerged in the water. Hindi ko namalayan na nakaidlip na pala ako.

THIRD P.O.V

When Nathalie woke up, she was pale because a nightmare visited her again. She almost drowned so she immediately held on to the edge of the bathtub. Chasing her breath while gripping the edge of the bathtub tightly. She stayed in the water for a few minutes before getting up and dressing.

"Nasobrahan ata ako sa babad, I felt like I was going to get sick" she whispered.

Lumabas siya ng kwarto para kumuha ng malamig na tubig. Tulog na ang lahat at madilim sa labas kaya hindi na siya nag-abala na magbukas ng pa ng ilaw.

She was slowly walking towards the kitchen when she bumped into a masculine body.

"Ouch" she grabbed her forehead and pretended to be in pain.

"Are you okay?" His voice is very deep and baritone.

"It sounds so sexy at the same time," she thought.

"Ahm yeah" she nodded and left in front of him.

Hindi niya alam na kasunod pala ito sa kanya. While pouring water into the glass... Blaze suddenly spoke.

"Thirsty?" saad nito pagkatapos ay umupo sa Island Counter.

She hummed "hmm, y-eah", which sounded awkward.

"Hindi ka kase uminom ng tubig bago mo kami iwan sa hapag kainan" ani Blaze.

Agad na nagiwas ng tingin si Nathalie, "Don't let her oppress you," Blaze said seriously.

"Wala ka na 'pong pakialam dun" malamig na tugon ni Nathalie saka nag iwas ng tingin.

"I care because you are my stepdaughter, am I right?" He stood up and went to her place. Blaze picked up the pitcher "umaawas na".

Nathalie didn't realize that the water she was pouring into the glass was running out.

"S-orry" ani Nathalie. She took a dry rag and then wiped out the water that had been spilled afterward she took a mop.

Blaze just watches her while mopping the floor. "You are good at cleaning, huh."

"Hmm," she hummed and just kept silent.

"Why are you so cold to me?" Blaze said bluntly.

Nathalie stopped what she was doing and looked straight at him. "Paano ba dapat?." Blaze suddenly pressed her into the wall.

Nagulat siya sa ginawa nito kaya hindi siya nakaiwas at hindi makagalaw sa pagkagulat.

"Just be nice to me" he murmurs as his breath hit Nathalie's face... she smells mint... an addictive scent.

She gulped in tension. "L-let me go."

Blaze put even more pressure on her body. She was pinned more on the wall, while their skin was sticking together... she seemed to be nervous.

"I said, let me go!" Nathalie forced herself to loosen up from being pinned but Blaze still pressed her to the wall and stared at her eye to eye. Her heart was beating, even more, faster and faster.

"A-nong ginagawa mo."

Blaze's stare was sharply "Teaching you a lesson".

Their faces were close to each other and Nathalie couldn't stop herself from gulping.

They heard footsteps going into the kitchen. So Blaze immediately pulled her towards the door... that led to the basement of the mansion. Mabilis ang bawat galaw nito at dinala siya sa loob ng kwarto at agad na isinara ang pinto.

"Shhh," he covered Nathalie's mouth with his palm.

She just nodded. Nakiramdam lamang sila sa nangyayari sa labas... at ng wala na silang marinig na ingay 'don pa lamang nakahinga ng maayos ang dalaga.

Blaze let her go.

"That was too close," ani Nathalie.

Nathalie immediately opened the door she would have left but Blaze grabbed her wrist. He pulled her in and immediately closed the door then pressed her to the wall.

"Sorry about that... and have a goodnight" he whispered in Nathalie's mouth.

Nathalie remained silent. After Blaze said that word, he left her stunned. For a few minutes, her breathing stopped because of the strange emotions she felt. "What was that", Bulong niya sa hangin, Napabuntong-hininga siya bago lumabas ng basement.

Just before dawn, Nathalie got up to help prepare breakfast. She was in the kitchen cooking when Blaze entered.

Blaze sat up and stopped acting "you are so mean" he hissed.

Nagkibit balikat na lamang ang dalaga at nagpatuloy sa pagluluto. Nathalie didn't realize that her stepfather was behind her.

"Tulungan na kita" anito.

Nathalie did nothing but let him. Siya ang naghihiwa ng mga sangkap habang si Blaze ang taga halo... hanggang sa ito na ang nagmaniobra ng lahat habang si Nathalie ay nanood na lamang. The helpers entered to serve the food. "Thank you," she said to Blaze.

"Your welcome" he smiled at her then served two bowls of soup on the island counter. "Eat up, I know you're not comfortable eating with your mom. Kaya pinaghiwalay na kita ng pagkain... Let's eat?."

Nathalie couldn't help but smile, she sat down with Blaze at the island counter. Masyado pang maaga kaya hindi pa gising ang Ina niya at si Vanessa kaya okay lang na sabay silang kumain.

"Thank you" aniya kay Blaze.

"Your welcome again". They started to eat while she was eating, Blaze was so talkative that he asked one question after another.

"Do you have any plans to do today?" tanong ni Blaze.

"May trabaho ako mamayang 7:30 am, Marketing consultant ako sa kumpanya ng LoloDad ko... Isang linggo akong hindi pumasok sa trabaho kaya sigurado ako na tambak ang trabaho ko ngayong araw."

Blaze just nodded, "Sumabay ka na sa akin mamaya, maaga din akong aalis."

"No thanks, I have my own car with a broken window," she said sarcastically.

"With that, I'm sorry I didn't mean to" don't worry ipapagawa ko na lang"

"I'm just kidding" she chuckled softly "ako na ang magpapagawa-"

"Hindi, let me, I broke it after all" ani Blaze.

Nathalie just shook her head "whatever Blaze or should I say, Daddy?" Nathalie said sarcastically.

Blaze glared at her. "It's okay to call me daddy if you want to flirt with me."

Nathalie choked "Wicked."

Blazed laughed "Just kidding baby."

Nathalie's emotions were shattered. "Can you please stop calling me baby? May phobia ako dyan."

"S-orry" his solicitation of apology.

"Huwag na lang sana maulit" sambit niya pagkatapos ay maingat na ngumiti. Pagkatapos nilang kumain ay hinugasan niya ang pinagkainan nila. Sinalansan niya ang mangkok sa loob ng drawer pagkatapos ay iniwan na mag-isa si Blaze sa kusina.

She went to her room to take a bath and get ready to go to work.

She was in the walking closet naked. Just after taking a bath, she bought clothes from the closet that she would wear for work.

She was wearing a pink suit. It denotes a professional style of dress that appears smart and sophisticated. And white sleeves for the interior and a pink skirt paired with flat shoes. "Perfecto'' she whispered while modeling in front of a mirror. She also put thin lipstick on her lips and a little foundation to make her true beauty glow even more.

She was coming down the stairs when she saw Blaze walking down the hallway. They couldn't help but look at each other. Lalagpasan na sana niya ito pero hinila siya ni Blaze papasok sa isang kwarto.

"What the F?" she shouted.

"I'm so sorry, hindi ko naman alam na may phobia ka" his voice was serious as it looked straight into Nathalie's eyes.

Hindi mapigilan ni Nathalie na matawa dahil sa inaasta nito "You are over-reacting, I'm not mad... at hila ka ng hila baka mabalian na ako ng braso sa ginagawa mo."

"B-ut I thought-" Nathalie pressed her index finger to Blaze's lip to stop him from explaining. Afterward, she tapped Blaze on the shoulder and then fixed his collar.

"I need to go, D-daddy" she said then left him inside the room.

Blaze was left stunned. Tinapik niya ang kanyang dibdib na hindi tumitigil sa pagtibok ng napakabilis. "I'm going crazy," he whispered.

He was just down the stairs when he heard Samantha's angry voice. "What's happening," he thought.
