“What’s that all about?”
Both Annie and I had almost forgotten that Pam was still on a video call. We smiled at her and resumed our conversation.
“He’s a client,” I said, with a smile on my face.
I was stunned earlier when he entered the room. Divina was not able to do something about it, I supposed. Jeffrey could be intimidating and difficult to control when he wanted to do something. But--I was glad that he offered a truce. I guess the time has come to set our differences aside for the good of the business. Anyway, I would soon declare my real status, and Jeffrey would know that a relationship between us was impossible.
“Yo—a client obsessed with Sai,” Annie's eyes twinkled as she revealed Jeffrey's intention.
