As if worried she would change her mind, Augustus refused to approach Theora until the very end, when it was time for Yanheim's caravan to depart. It wasn't like she had ever been very touchy with the bird, but seeing her hawk on Yanheim's shoulder rather than hers broke Theora's heart. She got angry, then sad, then angry again, but there was nothing she could do; the white hawk was sticking to its new owner and refused to approach her or Danell at all.
