"Why did you do it?" he finally asks; I can hear the anger in his voice. It didn't do anything to help with the pain, in fact, his anger only made me feel a hundred times worse.
Lucas had never used that tone with me before, which bothered me. I didn't do this to upset him. I knew he would have felt guilty, but I didn't think he would be this pissed by my actions.
"Why did I do what?" I whisper, still struggling not to show him how much pain I was in.
