"Nathan," Ace calls. "I think it's best that you look for our sister. You know those woods better than the rest of us. Besides, if all of us leave at the same time, it will spark our father's suspicions. We don't want that to happen. If, however, you can't find her, return, and we can all look for her despite what father might think."
Nathan nods, "I think that plan will work well."
Lucas was quiet throughout the entire conversation, but I could tell that he was thinking of ways to get Avery back home. All he cared about was her well-being. He wouldn't be able to rest until she came back home safely.
