Chapter Six

"I told you that you can't do intense training!"

That's the sixth time she said that sentence since we got here in her Mom's patient room.

"Eury, are you listening to me?" she asked me seriously and I just laughed at her. She looks dreadful and stressed because of what happened. They thought that Ares and I killed each other because of the magic we exerted to that duel.

"Don't you ever did that again, understand?!" she said but I just shrugged my shoulder and play with the quill I found in the corner.

She continues her blabbering and I'm just laughing at her. She's just being overdramatic and thinking that duel will affect my health again. We are just waiting for her mother to discuss my condition. I am sure that I am completely fine.

I heard the door opening up and Elaine's mother comes in. She smiled in my direction and kissed her daughter's cheek.

She is empty-handed and the smile on my face grew wider. It just means one thing, I am fine and Elaine is just overreacting.

I looked at her and raised my eyebrow while smiling. She just rolled her eyes at me as her response.

"Eury, are you feeling something different?" she asked me while observing my appearance

"I am alright, Aunt Cecile. Elaine is just surprised that I manage to do an intense duel with Ares" she just smiled and shook her head.

"We both knew that my daughter is the queen of being overdramatic" I looked at Elaine's direction and she just shooting daggers to me with her glaring eyes.

"Mom! I'm still here! I can hear both of you!" she said while pouting

Aunt Cecile just rolled her eyes at Elaine's direction. Elaine got her attitude with her mother, there are no doubts about that.

"Back on our track, Eury. It is good to hear that you are absolutely fine and not feeling something different but Elaine is still right, you can't do intense training while your body is under recovering. Just follow our advice from now on and after a few days, you'll free to do whatever you want" I nodded at Aunt Cecile and agreed to what she just said.

I know that they only want my fast recovery but I am the one who's making myself suffer for a long time but I can't stop myself to train the way I'm training before and Ares' is the one who's training with me. There are no possibilities that I will limit myself when he's the one I'm facing.

"By the way, I saw Ares' wounds..."

I almost cough when I heard his name and Aunt Cecile raised her eyebrow when she saw my reaction. I immediately get the glass of water that Elaine got me earlier.

"He's in his room, I already offered to treat his wounds but he declined it. You should go and see him. Both of you go a bit overboard."

I can't say anything and I just continue drinking my water. I didn't go overboard! Does he have a lot of wounds? Why can't he just go here and ask one of the healers to heal him instead? He is just making himself suffer.

"Euryale, you're not drinking anything anymore"

"Oh! Yes, Aunt Cecile! I'll go see him!" I said it quickly and I instantly heard Elaine's laugh

"Are you sure, Eury? You'll go see him? You are going to treat his wound? Are you genuinely sure about that?"

My eyes just went bigger and the grin on Elaine's face is getting wider.

"Hmm, don't tell me..." Aunt Cecile looked at me raising her eyebrows while Elaine hugged her mother and smiled at me like an i***t.

"No! I don't like him!" I said and marched towards the door. I want to leave this room, earlier, Elaine is the one who's getting annoyed but the table immediately turned!

"Come on, Eury! Mom is not saying anything, why would you say that out of sudden? We all knew that you don't like Ares, remember?" I can feel the teasing tone in her voice so I just irritatedly looked at their direction again.

"Shut up!" I replied and stormed out.

"Hey, are you alright?" I quickly looked at my left and saw Eros with some knights.

"I am alright!" I answered him and he blinked a couple of times because of my reaction to him.

"Woah, you don't need to shout!" he said while preventing his laughter

"Stop laughing!" I said to him and I look dangerously to the knights who are looking at me.

"Everyone, I'll follow you to the training ground. You should go first" he said and the knights automatically follow him. I almost forgot, he is a Captain but acting like a kid whenever he's in front of me.

"I heard about what happened earlier, they said that you almost killed each other? So how's my brother, soon to be sister-in-law?!" he asked me while teasingly poking my waist

"Sister-in-law my ass!" I said while slapping his hand.

"Where is he? Is he okay? I can't find him in the whole castle" I just rolled my eyes and pinched his cheeks.

"I don't know, maybe he's in his room?" I murmured but he started teasing me again.

"Enough, Eros! It's not funny anymore" I glared at him but he just laughed and poked my red cheeks.

"Go to him, he needs your help!" he said and pinched my cheeks again

"I'm going to kill you," I said with my cold voice and he ran like he just saw a ghost in front of him.

I started walking to the Knight's Cabin and my feet automatically stopped when I'm in front of his room. Did I hurt him? Did I finally cause some serious injuries to him?

"He deserves that," I said to myself and went to my room.

I just lay on my bed and tried to sleep. Earlier in the training ground, when we finished the duel he immediately left so I didn't have time to see if I hurt him really bad.

Come on, Euryale Stheno. You used the two of your strongest techniques and doubting if you hurt that blue-eyed devil? You're insane, Euryale!

No matter how strong he is, there are no possibilities that he completely blocked it without getting hurt.

"Should I go and see his situation?"

I'm going to be crazy if I continue talking to myself. Should I go to him or should I kill him instead? Hmm, the latter part is a good idea...

I just laughed at my devil thoughts. After all, that devil won't die just by a couple of wounds from my attacks.

I changed to new clothes to get more comfortable while sleeping. I don't have a proper sleep last night.

A couple of minutes had passed but my whole system is wide awake. I can't even feel any signs of sleepiness in myself.

I looked to the wall that dividing my room from his, what if suddenly that wall disappeared and I saw him suffering from pain? 

"Screw it!" I said and stand up. Why am I feeling some guilt now?

There are more times that I almost killed him because of a duel but I don't even give a single f**k about his situation before then why am I being like this all of a sudden?!

I gathered my strength before knocking on his door and after three knocks, no one is answering.

You already died, Ares? Open your damn door, i***t! This is my first time feeling some guilt so be honored!

"I am going to kick this door if you'll not open this after another knock..." I whispered to myself and before I even knock to the wooden door, it quickly opened up. I saw his eyes gave me a cold stare waiting for me to say something to him.

"What do you want?" he asked but I'm busy finding his wounds. He got small cuts on his arms but it's not a big deal. He is wearing a white shirt so I can see the trace of the blood that is visible to his waist.

"Eros asked me to find you, he said that you need my help," I said and he just remained staring at me coldly

"I am fine, go back to your room," he said and that makes me look at him. I bet, he immediately knew that I'm examining his condition. I just want to help him because I'm feeling some guilt not because I want to! If this guilt is not bothering me, I am probably sleeping soundly on my bed now.

"I know, I'm just checking you if you're still alive," I said cockily and smiled at him.

I turned my back at him and harshly opened my door and slammed it.

Can he just appreciate how hard for me to come to his door and check if he's fine?!

He deserves that!

I sleep while feeling the high amount of irritation for that blue-eyed devil.

As usual, the darkness welcomed my sleepy state when I woke up in the middle of the night. I opened my lights and I looked at my ceiling. It's like I am outside and watching the night sky. I requested that to a sorcerer a few years ago, I want to feel that I'm close to the sky like this.

The light coming from every lamp in this castle was made by the sorcerers. Every lamp has its unique color and it depends on the owner's eye color. All those years, I got used to every magical object in this castle. From my accessories to the bathroom water.

Sometimes, I tried to have a bath with shining water and it almost blinds me. Every accessory I have is possessing different characteristics. A necklace that can make you move faster than your normal speed, the other one can make your stamina last longer, another one can heal you, there's a lot and I can't even remember everything.

Whenever I got the chance to entertain myself, I always went to the Castle's front garden. I can remember the first time I ate one of the petals of the rose there. The taste of it stays on your tongue within a week or more. This world has no limitations. There's a lot of things, I didn't encounter yet but if I've given a chance to explore some places, I will gladly do that.

Sometimes, I also wondered what does Kingdom Sol looks like? If it's the complete opposite of this place or it's just the same.

I can feel my stomach growling, I am already starving. I slept for almost 10 hours now, my stomach is probably empty.

I stood up and wear my robe. I want some chocolates and a banana. The corridor of the Knight's Cabin is so peaceful, you can't hear anything and I'm being so careful just to not make unnecessary noise that can wake them up.

Some of the Knights are wide awake and guarding the castle, I just greeted them and didn't waste some time to talk to them or what. The kitchen is empty, no one's here. Where's the banana? And the chocolates?

"Found you!" I said happily and get it from the storage drawer.

Tons of chocolate and bananas are there but when you look outside, it looks like that is it too small to fit hundreds of chocolates or bananas.

"Hungry?" I almost dropped my food when he appeared in front of my face.

"Yeah, I just woke up from a long sleep" I answered him

He looked at my foods then looked at me again.

"You should eat something presentable, you can't satisfy your hunger in that kind of food," he said but I just shook my head with disapproval.

"It's enough for me, Prince Dimitri. You should go back to your room. It's late." I formally said to him and slightly bow but I felt his hand gripped my elbow firmly.

I saw the anger in his eyes and it is staring at me intensely. I can feel the tension in the atmosphere.

"Did you treat his wound?" he asked me with his cold voice.

"Knight Major Euryale Stheno, I am asking you!" I completely shut my eyes closed because of his sudden outburst.

"Of course..." Dimitri and I both looked where the voice came from. Come on, why did he also come here?!

"Of course not. Are you expecting this stubborn baby to treat his enemy's wound? You're out of your mind, First Prince Dimitri." he said and slightly touched my right cheek.

"You should go to bed, my knight major" he whispered at my ears.

I almost choked in my saliva because of what he had said. I raised my eyebrow at him but he just teasingly looked at Dimitri's reaction not minding my intent look at him.

Ares just chuckled and started to walk out. I can see how much fury Dimitri's eyes hold at this moment. Just one more move from Ares, he will go ballistic for sure.
