❤Felicity - 2008
Felicity turned her attention to the tiny pup squirming around on the changing table.
“Can you stop?” she begged. “Please?” Wynter Ryker, six months old, gurgled happily as she continued to squirm around. Felicity looked up at the ceiling and sighed loudly. “Do you want a clean diaper or not?” she snapped as she looked back down at her pup.
“I’m sure she’d love one,” Warren said as he entered the nursery. “Here, let me,” he offered as he hurried to her side.
“Oh, thank the gods!” Felicity stepped away, letting Warren take over.
“My little girl, will you let daddy put on a clean diaper?” he cooed out at the tiny female. Felicity watched in horror as Wynter stopped squirming and laid still. Warren smiled and quickly cleaned her up before putting on a new diaper. “There you go,” he said as he dressed her up in a soft pink and yellow onesie. Warren lifted her up and held her to his chest. “That wasn’t so bad, was it?” he asked the young pup as he glanced over at his mate.
“Shut up,” Felicity spat out before gently taking Wynter from him. “She likes you,” she added kindly as she cuddled her.
“Of course, she does, what’s not to like?” Warren said playfully while Felicity rolled her eyes. They headed outside to the back porch and she spotted Willow swimming with a few friends in the large pool. Warrity and a few other males were chasing around a few of the females. At just six years of age, War was already a little flirt. Willow, a few months younger than her brother was more like her father. Felicity smiled over at Brielle as she sat down, making sure that Wynter was comfortable.
“Where’s Axel?” Felicity asked her as she watched Warren throw a ball over at Warrity, who caught it easily. A game was being set up and even Willow left the pool to join in.
“Oh, he is helping them get the barbeque set up,” she said. They were celebrating Axel and Brielle’s fifth wedding anniversary. Those two had become their best friends and the kids loved them. Everyone loved them. “Can you believe it?” Brielle suddenly asked and Felicity frowned as she looked over at her best friend.
“Believe what?”
“Can you believe that it’s been five years?” she gushed out. Felicity thought back to that wedding day and smiled.
“It doesn’t feel like it has been five years though,” Felicity pointed out as she shifted with Wynter on her lap. Axel and Brielle had been through so much and finally, he had made it official and the two had gotten married.
“Do you ever think about the future?” Brielle asked as she gazed out at the children swimming and playing around. Felicity knew that she was referring to Warrity and Ariel.
“Honestly, no,” she admitted. “Life will happen the way it’s meant to,”
“Yeah, but it would be awesome if my daughter and your son…” she trailed off as she wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. Felicity rolled her eyes and bit back the harsh comment she had been about to make. “Although, if I must be honest, I wonder if Ariel even swings that way,”
“What?” Felicity squealed out as she tore her eyes aware from her mate to the young female.
“Oh, you know what I mean,” she said and as Felicity gazed at the female, she had to admit, she did know exactly what Brielle meant.
❤Felicity - 2014
Felicity chased the two-year-old toddler, Wanita, around the sitting room. The young female pup was completely naked as she giggled and screamed.
“You think this is a game!” Felicity cried out as she continued to run around after the pup. She stumped her toe on the bottom of the large white sofa and cursed loudly. Wanita froze and turned to face her mother. “Bad word, bad word,” Felicity repeated. Wanita opened her mouth but before she could say anything, Willow, now twelve years of age, came rushing into the sitting room.
“Wanita!” she called out. Wanita turned too fast and fell. “Princess party!” Willow shouted out before Wanita could start to cry. Wynter came running into the room, already dressed up in a bright pink dolly dress with a gold crown on top of her head.
“Come on, Wanita, let’s play,” the six-year-old called out. Felicity sat down on the sofa, rubbing her big toe as she watched her two daughters dress up her youngest. Soon, Wanita had on a clean diaper and a pale pink frilly dress. She knew that they enjoyed playing dress-up with their youngest sister and Felicity was just grateful that the pup was not running around naked anymore.
“How is it that everyone else can dress and change diapers, except you?” Warren asked as he came into the sitting room with War hot on his heels.
“Is that meant to be a joke?” Felicity asked.
“Maybe,” Warren answered. Warrity chuckled before joining his mother on the sofa. “War and I were just coming in to check how far you ladies were,” he said as he looked over at his three daughters. “Well, they sure are dressed up,” Felicity burst out laughing at her husband’s comment.
“Yes, well, they consider this family get together as a princess party,” Felicity explained. Warrity chuckled as he scooted closer to his mother.
“Princess, ugh,” he mumbled.
“Oh no honey, one day you’ll find your princess,” Felicity said to him. Warren went over to his girls while War looked up at his mother in wonder.
“I don’t want a princess,” he stated, crossing his arms.
“Oh?” Felicity smiled as she looked down at her son. So far, he has been quite flirtatious and affectionate towards all the females in the pack. Yet, now, he was stating he didn’t want a princess.
“Too high main-te-nance,” he said, drawing out the word to say it correctly. Felicity smiled down at her son. He would make a fine Alpha one day. Ariel suddenly came running into the room and Felicity watched as her eldest daughter was attacked. The sound of their laughter and happiness made her smile, yet she couldn’t deny the fact that she was worried about the budding friendship between Willow and Ariel. Warrity stood up and smiled at his mother, wickedly. “Why couldn’t you have given me a brother? All of this makes my head go crazy,” he motioned round and round with his index finger and Felicity burst out laughing.
“Oh, I am so sorry, I’ll just go make you a brother really quick,” she teased. However, Warren had overheard her comment and the look of despair on his face was enough to make her laugh even harder. Three daughters were apparently more than enough for her mate.
❤Felicity – 2018
“Aah!” Felicity screamed out as she glared over at Warren. “This is all your fault!” she accused him.
“Mine? You are the one that promised Warrity a brother!” he argued. Felicity wasn’t sure whether she wanted to laugh or cry. She had in fact said to War that she would make him a brother. However, after four years of not trying, they had been blessed once again.
“I need you to push, Felicity,” the doctor, Kevin, encouraged and Felicity squeezed her eyes closed as she started to push. The pain was enough to make her cry out, but Felicity wasn’t about to give up. She continued to push until the victorious cries of their newborn filled the room. Warren was looking at her with loving, adoring eyes and she couldn’t help but just smile. “Congratulations,” Kevin said as he gently handed over their tiny pup. Felicity and Warren both gazed down at their beautiful baby boy –
“Um, doc?” Warren took a step back and the doctor frowned. Sandra and Brielle both rushed forward to see what was going on.
“Yes?”
“I thought we were having a boy?” Warren questioned.
“No, you two didn’t want to know, so, surprise!” Kevin smiled warmly before heading out.
“Another girl,” Warren muttered before he fainted and landed hard on the floor. Felicity looked over at her two best friends and the three of them started laughing. Felicity honestly didn’t mind having another girl. She smiled down at her precious little girl.
“Should we break the ‘W’ tradition with you?” she asked her. “Hmm? Should we name you after your grandmother?”
“Oh Felicity,” Brielle gushed out softly. “I’m sure, she would’ve loved that,”
“I agree,” she gently caressed her daughter’s cheek. “Welcome, Lisa,”
❤Warren – 2020
Warren glanced over at his eighteen-year-old son and sighed. Stubborn, just like his mother, Warrity continued to pace the office.
“Son, please,” he tried again to get his boy to calm down.
“No, dad, this isn’t going to work,” War stated as he stopped pacing and faced his father. “Which part of, I don’t want to be Alpha, do you not understand?”
“Son, you are the rightful heir,” Warren argued his point.
“To the throne? Come on dad, this is the twentieth century. There is no such thing anymore,” War threw himself down on the sofa and glared at Warren. “Face it, Dad, it’s either going to be Wynter or Wanita,”
“Are you completely insane?” Warren suddenly jumped up from his chair and threw his son a dirty look. “Can you imagine either one of those, of those…terrorists taking over the pack?!” he was breathing quite heavily as he sat back down. Wynter was already a hand full at the young age of twelve and although Wanita was already eight, Warren knew that she was just as difficult, and Lisa was still a pup.
“I know you would prefer it to be me or at best, even Willow but I’m sorry dad, I don’t want to be Alpha,” Warrity said his final word and stormed out of the office, leaving Warren alone with his dilemma. His son refused to be Alpha, and his eldest daughter, Willow, was too soft. Too shy and too much like her old man. Warren couldn’t help but smile, regardless, as he thought about the young female. She was going to be a legend one day, he knew it. She was exceptionally smart and incredibly talented. Although shy, Willow could hold her own end and wasn’t one to give up on anything or anyone. Hence the reason why she, too, was not interested in taking over the pack. Both Warrity and Willow had other plans. Bigger plans, they called it. Warren wasn’t so sure about any of it anymore.
“Maybe he will come around,” Axel said, and Warren gasped as he had forgotten that the beta was even in the room. “Sorry,” he chuckled as he stood up from the stool and came over to Warren. “Look, Warrity is at that age, you know, where he wants something different,”
“Yeah, just like his mother,” Warren remarked as he shook his head. “Felicity never wanted to be Luna, she wanted to be a warrior,”
“And?”
“And she is encouraging our kids to follow their hearts instead of fulfilling their duties. Has she forgotten who they are?” Warren was clearly working himself up and at his tender age of forty-six, he should be a lot more careful.
“Then why don’t you talk to Felicity? I’m sure that if anyone can convince War, it will be her,” Axel said before he made his way out of the office. Warren wasn’t sure if Warrity’s mind could be changed.
❤Felicity – Later that evening
“I’m telling you Warren, Willow is hiding something,” Felicity said as she watched her husband come into their bedroom.
“And what could she possibly be hiding?” he asked as he slipped off his white t-shirt. Felicity eyed his firm chest and smiled as she sat up a little bit straighter.
“I’m not sure, but she thinks that I don’t know about her late-night adventures,”
“What?” Warren looked over at her in shock. “You mean, she has been sneaking out?”
“Yeah, at first I thought that I may be imagining it but then I saw her,” she informed him. “She left the house Warren,”
“Any idea where she is going?” he asked as he continued to get undressed.
“I have an idea,”
“Well? Care to share?” Warren, now just in his blue boxers, joined Felicity in their bed.
“I think she is seeing Ariel,” she stated.
“Ariel? Are you sure about that?” he asked as he pulled the blanket over his body. “I mean, I know they are close, but they see each other all the time,”
“Yes, but when they do see each other it's around other wolves. At night, they are alone, just the two of them,” Felicity argued fiercely. “I’m telling you Warren, I’ll get to the bottom of it,”
