Jaimee
The next day, Lana and I arrived at school early. Matt is already waiting by our lockers when got there, and he is with Farah who still has a bandage around her head.
"Hey. How are you feeling?" I asked Farah.
"Good I guess. But the stitches' kind of hurt every now and then." She answered.
"Didn't the healer gave you some healing ointment?" I asked again, remembering the ointment Hades gave me.
Farah just shook her head.
"What healing ointment? Healers here don't use such thing." Lana said.
I furrowed my eyebrows. I'm pretty sure Hades said he got the ointment from the school's healer.
"Only the royal healers can create such ointment. They said that it can heal any injury, even the pain." Matt explained.
Royal healers? Then how the hell does Hades got his hands on such ointment?
"We better get to our class now." Lana said.
"You guys go ahead. I still need to request for Farah's transfer to our class." Matt said.
"Oh okay. We'll see you there." I said.
Then we went on separate ways. While Lana and I are walking towards our class, we walked pass by Hades, arguing with Vera.
"Looks like trouble in paradise." Lana said.
What are they arguing about? Was it because Hades helped me yesterday?
We are almost about to turn left when we heard Vera's furious voice.
"You!"
Lana and I stopped in our tracks, and turned around to face her. Lana crossed her arms over her chest and rolled her eyes.
"What do you want now?" Lana asked, but Vera ignored her and directed her glare towards me.
She attacked me and was about to scratch my face with her claws when she pulled by Hades.
"What the heck is your problem?!" Lana screeched, barring her fangs while she stood in front of me.
"You little slut! Do you really have to flirt with my boyfriend?! Does the lesson I taught you yesterday didn't mean anything to you?!" Vera growled.
Lana furrowed her eyebrows, then she turned to me.
"Jaimee, what is she talking about?" Lana asked.
I sighed, and glared at Vera.
"Vera thought it's funny to simply drag someone out in the woods and beat the crap out of them." I confessed.
Lana gasped.
"Is that why you were missing yesterday? She kidnapped you? What did she do to you?!" Lana exclaimed inspecting my body.
"I am fine Lana. Don't worry." I told her.
"Don't worry?! This troll kidnapped you!" Lana exclaimed pointing at Vera.
Vera dramatically gasped.
"Who are you calling troll you mouse?! That filthy human seduced my boyfriend! And I will make sure she will pay for it!" Vera growled.
"For the record, I did not seduce your boyfriend! I passed out after your b***h squad beat me up, you dumbass! Where is the seducing part there?!" I growled at Vera.
"Vera, that is enough. You are causing a scene." Hades said, with his hands still on Vera's arms.
Vera turned towards Hades.
"Why did you help her then?" She asked Hades.
Hades looked down at Vera then to me.
"I was bored." he said.
He was bored? What the hell? So he saves people for entertainment?!
"The two of you are both sick." Lana hissed.
"Watch your back human. I'll make sure to make your life here a living hell. And I don't care about your little circle of friends." Vera sneered.
"Threatening your school mate in the hallway Ms. Falicier?"
We turned and saw Lucca, standing there with his hands stuffed inside his pockets.
Why is he here?
"Brother what are you-"
Lana was cut of by her brother.
"Not now Lana."
Then he glared at Vera and Hades.
"So what if I threaten a weak filth huh?" Vera hissed at Lucca.
"I am of noble blood Ms. Falicier and a faculty of this school. I suggest you begin talking to me the proper way. Because I don't care if your father is in the council. "Lucca said glaring at Vera.
Faculty? He's a teacher?
Lucca turned to Hades.
"Don't you have class?" He asked.
Hades rolled his eyes and dragged Vera away. When the two of them are gone, Lucca turned to all those who are watching on the hallway.
"Well, go on with your classes!" He exclaimed and in an instant, they scrambled on their way towards their classes.
When it was just us, I suddenly felt conscious. I can feel Lucca's scrutinizing gaze even if I am looking down.
"Now can you answer me? What are you doing here brother?" Lana asked her older brother.
"Like what I said earlier, I am faculty here, so I suggest you start addressing me as sir or Mr. Ramiro, lady Lana Ramiro." Lucca said to his little sister, sternly.
I heard Lana scoff.
"The next time those two give you a hard time, please tell me."
I heard Lucca say, and I looked up and saw concern written all over his face. Then I felt Lana pulled me to face her.
"I can't believe you went through such abuse and you never told me! And what's with Hades?" Lana asked.
"I just woke up when he was carrying me towards an old shack. Then he gave me some ointment for my injuries. That was it." I told her.
"Looking at you now, the ointment he used is no ordinary ointment." Lucca said.
"Is that why you asked why Farah still has her injuries while yours were gone?" Lana asked, and I nodded.
"He used an ointment that only royal healers can make." Lucca said.
"I don't care how he got his hands on that ointment, but for once I am grateful to him because he helped Jaimee." Lana paused and turned to me.
"You are like a sister to me, and I will be hurt if something happen to you." Lana said.
"Don't worry too much okay." I told her.
"You two better go to your class now." Lucca said.
Lana scoffed and stuck her tongue out.
"You suck!" Lana exclaimed then she grabbed my hand and dragged me away.
I looked around and saw Lucca smiling at me. I can feel my cheeks flared up while I smiled back.

Third Person POV
When he saw Vera attacked, he almost lost his cool and rip her to shreds. He was tempted to do that and send her shredded remains to her father. That would be a great gift for Valentine Falicier. The young duke thought.
When the bell rang, he sighed and began walking towards his class. If it weren't for her, he wouldn't be here teaching ill-mannered kids.
'Of course you are doing this for her.'
He heard his voice whisper in his head, which made him roll my eyes.
'Why are you so nosy?' the young duke retorted in his head.
Since his affinity is that everything that concern the mind, he can also communicate using his mind, even if he's conversing with a person far away from where he is.
'I have nothing to do.' The voice said.
'You want something to do? Find out where Hades Beauford got the healing ointment that only royal healers can create. I want to know if there are other members of the royal court that is alive.' The young duke told the voice.
'Fine, your bossiness.'
Then the voice disappeared.
The young duke stopped in front of a classroom door and took a deep breath before he pushed the door open.
************
It was quite late when the young duke came home from school. He placed his bag on the table when he got inside his room, and discarded his coat jacket. He was on the process of removing his tie when he felt a presence in his room.
"I didn't expect you to be here." the young duke said.
Then from the dark corner of his room, a shadow figure moved.
"Have you found where the ointment was from?" the shadow figure asked.
"Not yet. But I'll find it." The young duke paused.
"Why are you here anyway?" he asked.
The shadow figure glided around the room.
"I should ask you why are you in school? A duke posed as a teacher. I didn't picture you to be one." The shadow figure said.
"Vera Falicier and Hades Beauford. Those two are their fathers children, and I want to be there when they made a mistake. So, I can punish them." The young duke said with an evil glint in his eyes.
The shadow figure chuckled.
"A teacher with an evil intention, I love the sudden turn of events. You never cease to amaze me, Lucca Ramiro." The shadow figure paused and glided towards balcony.
"I was bored, just so, you know. I don't have anything to do." It added.
"Study. You still have a lot to learn. A lot has happened in all those years." The young duke said and began removing his button up shirt. He swear he heard a small gasped when he threw his shirt on the floor.
"Where are your manners young duke?!" The shadow figure screeched and disappeared.
Lucca Ramiro couldn't help but chuckle.
'Nothing has changed even after years of being away.' He thought.
