In the car on our way home, I still can't believe that someone like Hades Beauford would save and help me. What's his deal?
I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't notice that we have arrived. The car has already pulled over in front of the manor's entrance.
"Why is there another car here?" I heard Lana ask.
"Young master Lucca has returned my lady." I then heard the chauffeur answer.
Upon mentioning the name Lucca made me whip my head towards the chauffeur. Lana grinned and immediately opened the door and stepped out of the car. Then she ran inside the manor as if zombies were after her. Me on the other hand stepped out of the car in a daze.
He is back. He's here now.
Lucca Ramiro is Lana's older brother. The Duke and Duchess' firstborn. Unlike Lana who's about my age, Lucca is a few hundred years old. And since he's the eldest, he will take over his father's position soon. He's been travelling to expand their business and influence of the Ramiro Family. And now he's back after months of absence.
I don't know what I will feel or how I will react when I see him. Ever since I first arrived in this manor, I have this crush on Lucca. I mean who wouldn't? He's tall and pretty good-looking with his chiseled jaw, perfectly angled nose, mesmerizing blue eyes, his thin yet seductive lips and his aristocratic demeanor.
Like his father, he's also kind and compassionate to every person around him. But he's also quiet and very mysterious. Many noble ladies have been flaunting their beauty, but the young duke never paid them any attention.
I went towards the house help's entrance, and went up my room to
change my clothes into my uniform. Once I'm done, I went down to the kitchen, and I was greeted by Maila and Gertrude.
"How was your first day in school?" Maila asked.
"It was fine. I get to learn a lot. But unfortunately some teachers are either a b***h or an ass." I told them.
Maila and Gertrude chuckled.
"What do you expect from those vampires? Good thing the Ramiros are not like any of them." Maila said.
"Speaking of Ramiro. The young master is back! Have you seen him?" Gertrude asked grinning.
I shook my head.
"I did and I'm telling you, he became more handsome than he was before." Maila said.
"Really? Is he by any chance still single?" Gertrude asked.
"I don't know. Why don't you ask him?"
"I can't do that!" Gertrude exclaimed.
I chuckled and shook my head with their bickering. I excused myself, so I can start with my chores. I went up to the manor's third floor west wing, and began dusting the paintings hanging on the hallway. After dusting, I began vacuuming the carpets, and then I proceed to clean every room in that floor.
I'm now almost done with my chores when I remember I still have one more room to clean. Lucca's bedchamber. So, I went to his chamber and knocked twice. When I didn't hear any answer, I sighed and twisted the knob, pushing the door open. With my cleaning stuff, I went inside the room and began cleaning it.
I was so focused on my task that I didn't notice how time fly by, so quick. Also, I didn't notice the eyes watching my every move. When I'm done arranging the last throw pillow on the couch, I sighed in relief that I'm
finally done with today's work.
"You didn't bring me flowers."
I froze when I heard the voice that made my insides melt. I turned around, and there he was standing out in the balcony with his hands inside his pockets.
Lucca Ramiro.
"I-I didn't know you were here. I k-knocked and-"
He cut me off.
"It's alright. I was lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear you knock. I just noticed you were cleaning not too long ago." He said and then he walked inside.
When he was standing closer, that is when I noticed how he looked more mature than the last time, I saw him a few months ago. Maybe it's his hair because it's longer, and it reached his shoulders.
"I-I um w-welcome back sir." I stuttered.
He gave me small smile.
"Lana told me you started school today." He said, and I nodded.
"Did you have any trouble on your first day?" He asked.
With his questions, I remembered everything that happen earlier. The confrontation in the cafeteria, Vera and her b***h squad, and Hades helping me.
I didn't answer but then I noticed him looking at me intently with a frown marring his handsome face.
"I-It was good." I finally said, and I noticed his frown deepen.
"I hope so. You enjoy yourself in school Jaimee, and do not associate yourself with the wrong person." He said.
All I did was nod.
"You better go down now, so you can have your dinner and rest." He said.
"Uhm okay. W-Welcome back." I whispered and scurried myself out of his room.
I was walking back to our quarters when I realized his words. Did he by any chance knew what happened in school?

Third Person POV
The young duke couldn't do anything but stare at the human maid's retreating back. He knew what the girl went through in school earlier. He balled his fist. He knew the girl will have problem with the councilman's daughter, Vera. That girl is as evil as her father. But what he did not expect was to see the head councilman's son helping the girl.
As his affinity is anything regarding the mind, he was able to see through the human girl's memories.
"Is it really wise to continue let her go to that school? The girl might not make it the next time." A shadow figure appeared just behind the young duke.
"I can't do anything but hope that she will be safe at all times." The young duke said.
"You have been so fascinated with that girl. Is there anything special about her?" The shadow figure asked.
The young duke closed his eyes and smiled.
"She is not like the rest." The young duke answered.
"Hmmm. Vague as usual. You are no fun to talk to." The shadow figure said before disappearing.
The young duke sighed and went back to the balcony. He inhaled the fresh cold air. He was glad that he was back home after a couple of months travelling. Especially he gets to see his precious little flower again.
Now he's back, he'll make sure to keep her safe at all times and let the council have a taste of their own medicine.
