Chapter 11

1130 Words
Everything happened so fast. Lyn didn’t even have a chance to see what exactly happened when Benji pushed her into Enjo’s room. As soon as Benji closed the door, the scene immediately changed like what happened earlier when Lyn and Benji have to teleport to another place so Elisa won’t find out about Lyn. The siblings have many reasons why Elisa shouldn’t know about her since they shouldn’t be talking to anyone who has dark hair. “I swear, this world is too complicated to understand for people like me,” whispered Lyn as they both started to walk so they could find a door. “I’m pretty sure, it’s because of Benji’s force that’s why we teleported to another strange place,” replied Enjo while looking and familiarizing the place. As soon as they went outside the darkroom, the dazzling shine of the sun welcomed them. It was sunset and there are no people to be seen here in the hallway. Enjo knows they were inside a school, but the strange thing is this school is where his parents used to attend. He was really sure that this is the abandoned school near their castle but it seems like it is not abandoned so Enjo thought that they also teleported through time. Enjo tried to open the window of one of the classrooms and he saw those chairs and desks that are properly placed. He tried to touch and glide his finger on the window but it seems like it is clean and it was not really abandoned. Because of curiosity, Enjo quickly opened the door so he could check what was written on the paper which is on top of the teacher’s desk. He found out that these are quiz test papers. “We went back to the past,” said Enjo as soon as he looked at the year that is written on the test paper. He checked all of the names from the test paper and the name that caught his attention is his mother’s name. Enjo also found out that his mother and his mother’s older sister are classmates. It was a funny coincidence since they both end up in his parent’s old classroom. He knew that both of his parents and his mother’s sister are classmates when they were in high school. After looking at the test papers, he decided to go out and explore for more information. The sun started to slowly go down and the hallway became dark. Those lights on the hallway automatically opened as soon as the ray of the sun didn’t hit it anymore. The lights are the only thing that helps them see where they going. Before the sun goes down, Enjo quickly walks and decided to find the exit of this school. As far as he knows, they were on the third floor so it would be really exhausting for them since the elevators are not working anymore. “It’s getting dark,” mumbled Lyn to him while he was walking and while she was trying to catch up. “Why don’t we go back now?” she asked but Enjo didn’t answer her. “You already know we can’t be seen together,” someone said from the other direction where Lyn and Enjo were supposed to go. They both didn’t see the person but Enjo saw the silhouette of a woman and a man. The silhouette of the woman is really familiar to him but he couldn’t assume so fast. He once again tried to have a sneak but the woman noticed someone was looking so she changed her gaze and as soon as Enjo noticed it too, he quickly grabbed Lyn’s arm and they both ran as fast as they could away from the girl. “We shouldn’t have gone there,” he said in between of his breath while he slowly sits on a cold floor. “Geez, we accidentally witness an unnecessary break-up scene here,” said Enjo as he straightly stood up. When Enjo started to walk, he noticed that Lyn was still sitting, trying to catch her breath, but he just stood there and looked at her with a straight face. Lyn’s eyes were closed and her eyebrows were furrowed. It looks like she was really struggling to catch her breath and she was already tired. She looked exhausted and haggard like she had an exercise for five hours. Enjo didn’t know what he was supposed to do so he just stood there for a minute. “We literally ran for only 5 minutes,” said Enjo to her as soon as his patience couldn’t handle it anymore. “Uh, sorry,” she replied when she heard what Enjo said. She didn’t notice that Enjo was waiting for her to stand up since her eyes were closed while catching her breath and trying her best to regain her strength as fast as she could. Lyn immediately stood up when Enjo started to walk away from her. She was really confused since she still doesn’t know why he was always rude and why he hates her so much like she did something wrong. “Are we going back now?” asked Lyn to him she was still trying to catch up with his speed since his legs were long and his height is as tall as his pride. As expected, he didn’t answer her question instead, he focused on the way, walking like he normally does. It seems like it was pretty normal for him to avoid people and focus only on himself. He never showed or expressed his feelings to someone and he would never will. Enjo only showed respect to his mother since his attitude came from her mother and his only goal in life is to make her mother proud. “Hey!” a girl from somewhere shouted. Lyn quickly looked behind her back and her eyes were wide open since the girl who called her looked delinquent. Her lazy eyes were sharp and gloomy which made Lyn looked pale. The girl’s face changed when she clearly saw Lyn’s face. She was stunned and she stood there, out of words. She was supposed to warn her about earlier since she thought that Lyn was the one who eavesdropped on them. The girl stepped back while she still looked shocked. She felt like she was looking at the mirror and she was looking at someone who is really close to her even though she hasn’t met her. It was really odd and strange for her since it was her first time encountering something that would give her goosebumps. She stepped back slowly and she started to face the other direction to run away from her like she saw a ghost.
