Many people thought that Elisa and Beth have a healthy and happy sibling relationship. The people in their nation didn’t know about their past and they wouldn’t let them know it. It happened a few years go by before Queen Elisa and Prince Aidan’s wedding. When they were in their teen years, Elisa and Beth go to school like ordinary teens would do. They are also wearing their usual uniform.
In this school, all the students feel equal since they are wearing the same uniforms as everyone. Students' standards of living differ greatly from family to family, and some people are well-off while others are not. Implementing mandatory school uniforms would make all the students look the same regardless of their financial status. School is the only place where Beth wouldn’t have to think about proper etiquette like they are in the castle.
“I’m so disappointed because of your grades, Beth,” said Elisa with anger and irritation.
“I’ve been a disappointment to you ever since we were little,” she replied back while chewing her gum loudly. “You think I care about it?”
Their classes already ended after the teacher mentioned their scores. They are all preparing to leave the classroom now. Even though Beth is one of the cleaners of their classroom today, she skipped and blended with her classmates so she could go out and spend her time on something unnecessary. Beth despises her sister, Elisa, that’s why she always does the opposite of Elisa’s orders.
She became reckless and she always disobeys her sister as an act of revenge since Elisa was so strict on her. Beth’s grades went down as days go by. They said that she’s a war freak girl and she always violates the rule in their school. Her classmates and schoolmates know her as the instigator of many pranks on their campus. No one would ever know how many boys she dated and break their hearts after she got bored with them.
“You already know we can’t be seen together,” whispered Beth on her current boyfriend.
It is already dusk since and almost all the students are already in their homes. The golden time has passed so it is quite dark now on their campus. It seems like they are the only students that have not yet go home. Beth really likes to watch the sunset alone here in their school before going home since it like her rest time when there are no orders given by her sister, Elisa. She always stays here by herself but she is not alone today.
Beth is with someone important to her. As the queen of a heart breaker, she would not want to fall in love because she only did it for fun. Before her feelings grow on someone she likes, she instantly breaks up with them even though they are really important to her. After a few days or weeks, Beth would probably already forgot about them and they will no longer be important to her eyes.
“And who said that?” asked Paul, her current boyfriend.
She left him hanging since she didn’t answer his question. Something caught Beth’s attention. It seems like someone’s aura near them is weird and different. She thought that everyone already went home since she’s always the only person left every time she stays in the school to waste her time. After she felt something strange, she quickly ran and let her follow her feet. She turned a lot of directions before she saw someone.
“Hey!” she shouted at the top of her lungs.
As soon as the girl looked behind her back, their eyes met and she felt something weird again. Beth felt like she is looking in the mirror and she could see her younger self. The girl was wearing a pink dress. She looks homeless and dirty. They are both stunned and surprised. It seems like they stood there, staring at each other’s eyes for a minute before Beth decided to step back slowly and ran away as fast as she could.
She did not know where she was going since everything seems like it was a dream. When she stopped running to catch her breath, she did not notice that she came back to where she was earlier. Paul is still there, waiting for her to come back even though she has no intentions to come back. She accidentally ends up at this place because she was not paying attention to where she was going.
“You look exhausted,” said Paul while wiping off her sweats, falling down on her temple, using his plain white cloth.
“We are breaking up,” cautioned Beth as she tried to remove Paul’s hands. “You are supposed to leave me,” she continued.
“Why are you still here?” asked Beth while her eyebrows were furrowed and while Paul is still wiping off her sweats.
Paul left her hanging as Beth did to her a while ago. He did not answer her questions because he also does not know the answer to her question. It was a simple question yet hard to answer since all he knows that he indeed loves her. Paul would go crazy if Beth leaves her. He already knows that Beth is the queen of a heartbreaker but he did not mind it because no one will stop him from loving her.
“You promised that I will be your last,” mumbled Paul before he hopped and sat beside Beth, looking at the sky.
“Promises are meant to be broken,” explained Beth to him.
Her eyes were shining because of the sun. Paul could literally the reflection of the blue sky and fluffy clouds in her eyes. He did not mind what she explained to him, instead he focused on admiring her and her eyes. Beth looked at him, still staring at her eyes. She saw how in love he really is with her but she is afraid to love him back. Even though she is reckless and she would violate all the laws, Beth would never go with him.
Paul’s hair color is deeper than the ocean while Beth’s hair color is the opposite of his crowning glory. Discrimination is also one of the reasons why Beth would not go with Paul since even though they are in a normal school, where everyone is equal, they couldn’t accept the fact that Beth is still part of the royal family and they should never talk to someone like Paul.
