Chapter Seven

Chapter Seven: The surprise of a lifetime; it really was out of love, wasn't it?

I was seething, but I was disguising it well with a crooked smile.

Just when I had equipped myself for a drive that would last for hours, I was surprised when the car came to a halt after barely three minutes. I was really hoping that I was not about to encounter that monster here and not in werewolf lands!

I heard the two doors opening and closing before the one right next to me was opened. I did not know what to prepare myself for so I just remained still and waited for them to act.

I was startled a bit when I felt weight on the chair. He was definitely not sitting on it though, I could just feel the seat suffering from his knee being planted on it.

"If you scream, you die!" He stated before ripping the tape off my mouth with haste.

I wanted to scream when I felt the hair on my face being ripped off like I had asked for a free facial wax!

He pulled the cloth out of my mouth at last and I was relieved! At least it did not taste dirty nor was it as smelly as the s**t that was covering my eyes!

Without any warning, he grabbed me aggressively with my jaw and made me face up. My mouth was forced open before a liquid was splashed into my mouth.

Instantly, my throat opened up to let the burning liquid in and a bit of it passed down to the wrong pipe, making me cough ridiculously!

What kind of evil was this? And what the f**k did I just drink?! I could only compare it to alcohol because of its smell and because it burned my throat.

Once I had coughed enough to get the liquid out of my windpipe, the next dose of whatever that was came and this time around I was careful to direct it into the correct pipe.

It could have been poison for all I knew, but choking on something so strong tasting was not ideal and I had to do what I could to avoid it happening again!

"Listen carefully! You have reached your destination. We are both going to hold your hand and lead you in, you just walk!" He explained and stated a few more words that I could not focus on because I was just feeling so weird! I could not even explain what the f**k was happening with me, I just felt like I was slowly fading away. I still nodded my head regardless!

He held my hand and I walked out of the car. Soon enough, they indeed were holding me from both sides and I was just doing as they asked of me...walking..

"We are almost there, don't you worry!" The talkative voice came again and I knew he was on my right. He must have known that it was my strong side and he could not assign it to the weak one!

The more we kept walking, the more I was hearing loud music! I was confused as s**t but it could have been a hallucination! I was definitely not feeling like myself since they gave me that filthy liquid to drink!

I had no idea where the hell I was headed but what was certain was that I was not imagining the music and sound of people cheering!

I walked through an entrance and instantly, the music was blasting. All I could hear was screaming people and the awful music trying to burst my ears!

"Where am I?" I have to yell to even feel like I can be heard, but I did not need to question them for much longer!

My blindfold came off and my eyes popped open to a disco scene! Differently coloured lights were filling the place, and I could see....Julia?

Hell to the no!

What were Julia and Chloe doing here?

"Surprise!" They all yelled and my heart dropped into my stomach, no, straight onto the floor as I looked around me.

"How did we do? This is my brother, Gabe, he was speaking to you the entire time because you would definitely recognise my voice! And that was his car too!" Jake, Julia's boyfriend laughed. He had been holding my shoulder and speaking all that crap into my ear.

"J and J struck again!" He high-fived his girlfriend before she pouted and called him with his finger and they kissed.

There was no way this was happening to me!

So I had not been kidnapped by wolves, but now I was in the best chance for them to find me?

"I hope I did not hurt you too much! Happy birthday!" Gabe offered me a hug and I offered him my fist instead, which he gladly accepted, like we were signing up for some friendship or something!

"What the f**k have you done?" I questioned while laughing, a "I'm dying" laugh. Not amused by any means!

"This is all for you, Raine! Getting the VIP area costed like an arm and a leg, but we had to do it!" She paused before eying the others.

"For you!" They all yelled and I was freaked out, I could not believe my efforts to stay hidden were about to get ruined by my best friends after I tried so hard to protect myself!

"Happy birthday, Raine!" Amber, a girl that worked here served drinks and it dawned on me that this was not just any regular club, this was where I work!

"Your eyes are still puffy but you still look sizzling, honey!" Chloe complimented and I stood there frozen!

"Now for a toast!" They each took a shot of alcohol and handed me one.

"To getting totally f****d tonight!" Chloe yelled.

"But, the birthday queen first!" She added and all eyes were on me.

"I do not drink, you know that I find it gross!" I stated before offering the shot to Jake.

"That is not what it looked like a few minutes ago!" He did not accept the gladd and instead laughed and his brother agreed.

"You downed two shots of tequila like a pro!" He added and my eyes grew to twice their size.

"Tequila?!" I exclaimed, feeling the dread sink in.

They had better be messing with me!

Alcohol washed off the scent mask, and that could only mean I was naked to all the wolves that were here tonight!
