Chapter 16 :: elaborate con

so,.......about 72 hours later!

mind you many things happened in those 72 hours!

Like,

.......Amarendra Raichand went back to the Rahil House after returning from the hospital......surprisingly everyone in the family returned from shopping for the upcoming nuptial by then, even those precious sons.....

note the sarcasm...!

but where Shadaab looked mighty fine....Shezaad however looked tensed, in fact every now and then he would look around as if looking for someone.....

family was slightly surprised seeing Rahat suddenly,.....they had no idea he'd come days before wedding.

Amarendra Raichand suddenly got up from his own seat and sat right beside Shezaad and asked in low voice....."are you looking for someone, son ?"

"n-no....what are you talking about" Shezaad let out a nervous laugh

Rahat didn't let go.....instead he asked..."no ? ...as in you are not looking for that maid i heard you were so very attached to ?"

"ye ap kya keh rahe hai, Janab" His polite tone changed

Shezaad wasn't the only one who heard Rahat's taunt

"kya behudgi hai ye" the Tayaji looked furious to say the least

[ Your whole truth has come out...... this your son's marriage, everything is a sham, everything is just to extort money, this is how you live ]

"j-jhut hai ye....itne zurrat k-kaise hui apke j-jo aise behuda i-ilzam laga rahe hai hum par" Tayiji started yelling

[ This is a l-lie....h-how dare you make s-such ridiculous a-allegations against us ]

"fine....so, I'm gonna call someone now and I'm sure you will recognise her"

with that, few men in uniform walked right in and behind them there was a girl in burkha came in and behind her two female officials......

and the whole family paled....!

especially Shadaab Rahil!

now, thing was......

these Rahil's are the reddest of red flag in the name of so-called family......

because of Tayiji's extreme greed and Tayaji's addiction of gambling Rahils' lost almost everything and on the verge of begging on streets just couple of years ago......and when they found no way to pay the monet they took from a loansharks on high interests, they created this long con game about 3/4 years ago.

Once in a while they would find a somewhat good, well to do mostly unknown family in a small village, ask for their daughter's hand in marriage, who can afford heavy dowry......take cash on the night of marriage and vanish away!

the girl in burkha that walked in just now with police women was one of their victim, her home was somewhere in Jammu-Kashmir. Coincidentally they met and then somehow convinced the family to marry their daughter off with their elder son Shadaab,.....

in fact they made them believe that whole Rahil family, they lives out of the country, in USA.

AND then when they gave everything that they were to give their daughter.....this RAHIL FAMILY full which is of con artists liquidated all the assets and vanished the next day, abandoning the girl.

Once again!

eventually it's been 3 years police had been looking for them.....but since the whole name and address thingy they gave was completely fake, all was in vain, until today!

no wonder Insiyaa found them shady......

social media can be a huge help in need......during scrolling through f*******: she saw a familiar picture of Shadaab long ago, it was the only viral picture of that wedding, only picture the victim family had of these culprits, that's why she felt like she saw him somewhere.....

thankfully Shawkat believed her blabbermouth and ran a background check.....that picture was legit.

now, the fact was marriage of the so called maid and Shezaad was legit too, only reason the family hated Farida because she was poor and she bought nothing with her from her house, in fact she was orphan and Shezaad was very loyal to her so, they couldn't use their another son as bait ; as easily they wanted to......so they threatened him in every way everyday.

so, today only reason Shezaad was in this mess because his indecisiveness of not leaving this swindlers of family

so, Shawkat informed Baba and Rahat immediately after they went to the hospital......

in this whole chaos nobody noticed another thing.....!

Rushda was listening everything from upstairs.....and Insiyaa could tell from the look of her face, Rushda felt like someone just pulled the ground underneath her feet, world tilted upside down and she fainted.

Last thing she remembered was Rahat running towards her with extremely anxious expression.
