“All right, Ms. Foster, you’re cleared for discharge,” Doctor Parks announces with a smile. The nurses drew several vials of blood from Jenny this morning for lab work. Doctor Parks has just given her a thorough exam and seems satisfied with her recovery.
“Thank you for everything,” Jenny tells him.
“You’re more than welcome,” he replies. “I wish there had been more I could do. I’ve taken the liberty of having your prescriptions filled at the hospital pharmacy,” he tells her, pulling three pill bottles from the pocket of his white exam coat. “That will save you an errand and help you get out of town as quickly as possible. I’ve also made an appointment for you with one of the best orthopedic surgeons in Austin. You’ll see him next week, and he’ll schedule your surgery. He
