CHAPTER 16 It was official. Megan was too worried about Kitty to offer up anything but short, distracted prayers. She got up from the table and made her way down the hall, where the doctor was talking to Scott and Susannah. “I don’t think it will do any good to take her to the hospital just yet. We want her to get as much rest as she can, and it’s going to be important to push fluids as much as possible. If we’re lucky, we can avoid the IV.” Susannah let out a heavy sigh. “Thanks, Janice. I really appreciate you coming over here like this.” The doctor smiled. “I just wish I had a magic wand that would make her feel better.
