CHAPTER 36 Scott grabbed a can of Diet Coke from the fridge after he finished talking to his wife. “What did Susannah say?” Megan asked. “How’s Kitty doing?” He popped the can open. “She’s still having a hard time keeping her oxygen levels up. They’re doing their best to keep her stable, but I guess there’s talk of transferring her to Seattle if her numbers keep dropping.” Scott sighed and sat down at the dining room table. “How are you holding up? I suppose this isn’t exactly what you signed up for when you flew out here.” Megan just wished she could stop feeling so guilty.
