Chapter Eight: Gasoline

Rogue's Point of View The next few days passed by in a blur. My new bedroom is as big as my former apartment. Selene kept her word to Adrian, and we had a vast new office in our home filled with every device we could possibly need and those new gaming chairs. I was grateful but felt guilty looking at how well-furnished the house was. Luna Jo had assured me everyone in the Dark Moon Pack was provided for. It was a well-established and well-run pack. The former Alpha, Felix's dad, had instituted that the Dark Moon Pack be provided for first. If there were additional funds generated from the companies and businesses attached to the pack, those funds were to be saved, but support was also to be sent to any packs that were not doing as well. Alpha Felix continued the practice and encouraged the mindset to be grateful and help others when possible. We were thrilled to have found our new pack. It was a completely different experience from the one I was used to. Adrian and Crypta felt the same way. We were happy, which was something we had to get used to. We were used to being outsiders, coming together as outcasts in our Byte Club. Seraphina Dusk had reached out to us with a brief text, assuring us of her support and expressing her happiness that we had found a new pack to call home. I was surprised she knew where we were, but again, she was our mysterious benefactor. We knew nothing about her, but she seemed to know everything about us and always provided whatever we needed. I was relieved to see that she was okay. We had never met, but I admired her as a benefactor and my hero. Seraphina Dusk worked in the shadows, keeping her identity secret and finding a way to help those in need. "Are you going out again?" I asked in disbelief as I watched Crypta put on hiking boots and grab her bag and water bottle. "I like the forest. It gives me something I can't find elsewhere. I've got my phone. Text me if you need me," Crypta laughed as she headed out the door. Adrian asked suspiciously, "Can you recall her ever being outdoorsy?" I casually replied, "No, but Crytpa values her personal space, just like me. I understand. Plus, she promised to join us tonight." Adrian seemed to have more to say but chose to remain silent. I refrained from asking further out of respect for my friend. He would do so if he had something to share in his own time. However, that didn't mean he didn't adopt the same approach as me. Teasingly, Adrian remarked, "So, does that mean you're sleeping here tonight?" I gave him a bored look and kept defeating him in our Xbox video game. Adrian had pleaded for me to play "Halo Wars" with him before our video game night. We had planned to have pizza, wings, beer, and co-op gameplay in "Halo Wars" tonight. If I didn't know better, I might assume Adrian was trying to impress Crypta. After all, she was the one who recommended we get this game. "Rogue, I'm happy for you," Adrian said. "Gamma Damian is a good guy." I nodded but didn't say anything. Adrian took that as his cue and sighed in defeat. My best friend knew that I wasn't going to kiss and tell or share my feelings about my mate with him. Damian had asked me to live with him, but I refused. However, I did agree to leave some clothes and toiletries at his place. That was the extent of my comfort level. Damian understood my hesitation to fully commit to living together, so he graciously accepted my compromise. Despite my reluctance, I found solace in being able to leave a few personal items at his place, creating a sense of belonging without fully merging our lives. This arrangement allowed me to maintain a level of independence while also nurturing our budding relationship. Living with my two closest friends was already a challenge. However, the dynamic between Adrian and Crypta seemed particularly unusual. While they often flirted, it never went beyond that. At times, the s****l tension in the house felt unbearable. I considered suggesting they explore their feelings for each other to resolve the tension, but I hesitated, fearing it could complicate things if one developed deeper emotions. There was never any indication that they were more than friends who were attracted to one another. I almost wanted them to meet their mates or just f**k each other and get it over with. I thought back to how Damian had listened without judgment or interruption when I shared with him my past. He respected my wish to be called Rogue in public but relished calling me Evie when it was just the two of us. It did something to me when he moaned my name while I was sucking his massive c**k. Damian loved that I relished having his d**k in my mouth. I loved the feel of every vein, texture, and throb. All of it. I bit my lip as I remembered how I went down on him yesterday. I had stroked the base of his d**k while licking and sucking the tip. Long licks up the shaft, circling my tongue around the tip of his c**k drove Damian wild. I loved playing with him, it got me off just as much. He was so responsive and eager to reciprocate. We ended up in so many variations of the 69 position that I'd lost count of the orgasms he'd given me. His tongue devouring me while I was face down with my ass up was pure bliss. I squirmed just thinking about it, pressing my thighs together, desperate for some relief. "Rogue, are you f*****g kidding me?" Adrian groaned, slamming his controller down. Shit. He could smell my arousal. Adrian grumbled with a hint of irritation as he turned to me, his gaze piercing. "Could you please... not?" "Sorry," I mumbled, embarrassed. Adrian's eyebrows knit together as he glanced at me. His lips pressed into a thin line as he bit back a comment. Adrian's eyes narrowed slightly, and he looked away, rolling his eyes in exasperation. Adrian shifted in his seat, angling his body away from me as he grabbed his phone. Adrian's foot tapped impatiently as he sent someone a message on his phone, tapping the screen more aggressively than necessary. "Damian is in his office and has set aside the next few hours after I informed him of your urgent meeting request. Go ahead and address those matters. Your mate won't object. Out. Now," Adrian ordered, gesturing towards the door. "Thank you," I squeaked out, grabbing my bag and slipping on my shoes. I felt bad, but it was funny in a twisted way that my best friend knew me so well and sent me off to get some. Adrian's Point of View I groaned as I heard the door close behind Rogue. I was happy for her. I really was. But damn it, I needed to get laid soon. My hand and I were becoming quite attached to one another. I wasn't without admirers, but I did not want a relationship right now. I wanted someone who just wanted to f**k without strings, without feelings attached. It didn't seem like that option was available to me here. The door to the house slammed shut as Cyrpta leaned against it, clearly hot and bothered, groaning in frustration. She hadn't realized that I was sitting in the living room, in full view of her. My c**k twitched looking at her, recognizing a similar need resonating from her. Could we? Should we? I bit my lip as I allowed myself to slowly drag my gaze over her luscious body as I grew even harder. Crypta's gaze flickered to mine, and she licked her lips.
