I awoke to the sound of knocking on my door. I growled internally. I was having the best dream, and right when I was getting to the best part, where I was about to eat her tight little p*ssy and make mate c*m, I was interrupted. The knock sounded again, and I cursed under my breath. I swear if it’s Katie again, I will let Knight forward and have him do what he always wanted. I opened the door, and it was my beta, gamma, and delta.

Luca

Dude, what the f**k? I kept trying to mind-link you, but your block was up. We thought something was wrong, so we all came rushing over to make sure you were okay.

Zane

I scowled; everything was fine; it was more than fine, actually, and you just ruined it!

Allen

Well, you wanted us back here, so here we are; what was so important that you couldn’t tell us the details on the phone?

Zane

Right, meet me in my office in forty minutes, and I will explain everything. They all nodded and left; I closed the door and headed to the shower. I adjusted the water to cold because it was needed after my dreams last night. It felt so real; it was as if she was right here. Every time I closed my eyes, she was there. She was mine to touch, feel, and taste. f**k, I need to find her soon or Knight, and I will go crazy. Thinking about it, Knight, why was my block up?

Knight

We were dreaming about mate, and I didn’t want to be disturbed.

Zane

Knight, I understand, but you can’t do that. I am alpha, for f***s' sake; I have to be able to be reached in case of emergencies. He doesn’t reply; he just retreats in the back of my mind. Sighing, I run my hands through my hair; having Knight as a wolf is bittersweet. We get along better now, but he is always so unhinged. Knight is a blessed wolf; he isn't affected by many things that usually affect wolves. Silver has no effect on me, along with wolfsbane. He is the first wolf to ever possess these gifts, and I swear it gets to his head and makes him a f*****g ass hole. I know I was given this wolf because I am the only one who is strong enough to control him and keep him in check, but Knight is doing my head in. And now that we have found our mate and then lost her, his behavior will only worsen. I got out of the shower and got dressed. It was going to be a long day in the office because I wasn’t going to rest until I found her.

I headed downstairs to my office while mind-linking the kitchen staff to have breakfast sent to my office. I immediately headed straight to my computer to retrieve the files from the video I saved last night. I saved freeze frames from the videos of her. I wanted Allen to review them as soon as possible. The quicker he sees it, the quicker he can locate her, and I can have my mate in my arms. There was a knock on the door, and without looking up, I gave them permission to enter, assuming it was either a kitchen staff or Allen, Luca, and Kiera. The smell of bacon, eggs, and white chocolate raspberry-filled croissants filled my nostrils. It was one of my absolute favorite breakfast foods. Thank you, I said while looking up from my computer, only to meet the eyes of Katie. Katie, what the hell are you doing in my office?

Katie

I noticed that you weren’t in the dining area for breakfast and figured that you were already working. You work so much and so hard. I didn’t want you to forget to eat, so I decided to bring your breakfast to you. I grabbed it from the omega down the hall.

Zane

Well, thanks to you, I won’t be eating breakfast now. I will never eat anything that you touch. I don’t trust you. Now, take the tray and get the hell out of my office. Katie’s eyes immediately filled with tears.

Katie

I just don’t get it, Zane; why do you hate me so much? I thought you loved me. We had our whole lives planned, and then you ruined it. Why Zane? Why?

Zane

How many times do I have to tell you it’s Alpha to you, and I don’t have to answer any questions that you ask? But if you must know, Katie, I never loved you; you were just my high school girlfriend; it was never that serious. Our lives were not planned. You assumed that you would be my luna one day. I never agreed; the minute I realized that you weren’t my mate, I ended things so that you wouldn’t become attached. The only thing that I regret is ever dating you in the first place. Why can’t you get it through your thick skull that we will never be together? Why can’t you go find your mate and forget that I ever existed?

Katie

How could you do this to me, Za... I mean, Alpha? You were my everything.

Zane

The waterworks had now fully started, and I found myself getting more and more annoyed with her. I did not have time to deal with this. I stood up and walked around my desk. Look, Katie, you were once my friend, and I do not hate you, but you have to understand that this is for your own good. You need a chance to find your mate, and so do I, so that we can truly be happy. I will never let Katie know that I have already found her. Not until she’s officially here with me.

Katie

Alpha, I will never be happy unless it is with you. Please, Alpha, all I ever wanted since I was a little girl was you. Just give me a chance to prove myself. I would be the perfect luna for this pack, the perfect mother to our pups; I love our pack, and most of all, I love you, Alpha Zane.

Zane

Katie was now on her knees in front of me, begging me to give her another chance. For some reason, this made me angry. She would never be my Luna. I had already found my Luna, and Katie would never measure up to her. The only person bearing my pups will be my mate. The thought of it being Katie made me sick. Knight even let out a low feral growl. Katie, I suggest you leave my office and that you do not ever come to my room or office anymore. You are officially banned from these areas, and you will be punished if you break this rule. Get out of my office NOW!! I used my alpha tone on her for the first time ever, and she immediately jumped up to her feet and ran out. Luca, Allen, and Kiera all walked in shortly after.

Allen

Who pissed in Katie’s coffee this morning?

Zane

I don’t have time to talk about her. I have more important matters to deal with. Just know that she is banned from my office and the upper floors from here on out. Kiera, please let the guards know about this new change.

Luca

Did you two have a lovers' spat?

Zane

Shut the f**k up, Luca, and wipe that stupid smirk off your face; you know there's nothing between us. I swear you are so lucky that you are my gamma and one of my best friends. Katie is just delusional. She thinks that I will make her my luna. I just need her to find her mate so that she can leave me the f**k alone. Enough about Katie. I called all of you here because I need your help. Especially yours, Allen; I need your help with locating someone.

Allen

Sounds easy enough. What is their name? First or last will do.

Zane

That’s the thing. I don’t have a name; I just have pictures that I freeze-framed from a video. I turned the screen around and showed them her picture.

Luca

I can see why you want to find her asap; holy s**t, Zane, she is f*****g hot!

Zane

A growl immediately escaped my lips. You will not talk about her ever, do you hear me?

Luca

Woah, chill, man; I was just playing. I've never seen you this worked up over some girl like this before.

Zane

That’s because she isn’t just some f*****g girl. She is my mate and your future luna! Their eyes widened in shock.

Luca

Oh s**t, man, I’m so sorry. You f*****g found your mate! Zane, I can’t believe it. I thought for sure that good boy Allen over here would be the first one.

Allen

Yeah, cause it definitely wouldn’t be you with your man, w***e ways, Luca. Now let me look at these pictures. Zane, let's find our luna.

Congratulations, Zane. I can’t believe you finally found her. Wait until our parents find out.

Zane

I thought about my parents, and my mom would be ecstatic, but I didn’t want them to find out until I officially found her. Sorry Kiera but not a word of this to anyone, including our parents, until we find her. If they find out, my mother will never give me a moment's peace until she is found, and your mom would just cry the whole time about how grown up we are.

It has been six hours since we started searching for her, and we came up with no leads; it’s like she never existed. If I didn’t see the videos and felt the sparks, I would have questioned my own sanity. Allen tried every method, including using the FBI’s facial recognition, and nothing. How could we not find anything about her, not a trace? It was like she never existed. I was getting frustrated, and Knight was on edge. I can’t believe this Allen is the best there is at finding someone. If he couldn’t, then there was little to no way of finding her.

Allen

Something isn’t right in this age of social media. There is no way that she doesn’t have social media or something tracing back to her. Zane, I think that she doesn't want to be found on purpose. Maybe she is hiding from someone.

Zane

The thought of that had me on edge. Why is she hiding? Is she in danger? I needed to find her, but how? My mind was racing at this point. My mate was out there in danger, and I wasn’t there to protect her. I didn’t even know where she was. The thought of never seeing her again was starting to cross my mind. But I pushed it away. I refuse to give up. I will find her no matter what it takes, even if it kills me.

Allen

Don’t worry, Zane, I will find her; we will find her. I have an idea and new software that I’ve been working on and developing. I think this will give me an opportunity to finally see if it works.

Luca

Yeah, man, we will not rest until we find your mate and our future luna. I know that I joke a lot, but this is serious, and we will not let you down.

Kiera

I third that statement, we will all do what we can to help you locate her. It would be nice to finally have another girl around here to offset all of this testosterone.

Zane

Thank you. I said I was thankful for these people; they have always had my back ever since we were kids. I promise to do the same for you when you find your mates. Except for you, Luca, God help the poor girl who ends up being your mate!

Luca

Ouch, that hurts, bro! Let’s just hope your mate likes me so that she can be on my side when you are mean to me.

Zane

We all laughed, these people are family to me, and I am thankful to have them by my side, helping me run my pack. We spent the rest of the afternoon working on various pack issues while Allen got his software up and running. It was a special program that he designed that is able to uncover records or identify pictures and documents even if they were erased or deleted. The only issue is he didn’t know how long it would take because it was his first time using it. We discussed the upcoming alpha summit. We would all be attending Kiera’s twin brother, who is the head warrior and also of delta blood, and will be running the pack while we are gone. I wanted to make them both my deltas, but he refused. He preferred being the head warrior and hated the paperwork that came with being a delta. We planned on ramping up security while we were gone and talked about the extra patrol routes that would be added for everyone's protection. Then we all made sure that we were on the same page for the summit. Absolutely no alliances with any other pack, as we do not need alliances, nor do we trust them. We are civil with other packs and willing to assist if they have emergencies, but we do not make alliances. We mainly attend these summits to learn about current events and any changes implemented by the elders. It is always good to keep up to date on not only werewolf news but news on other supernaturals who may be a threat to us. After discussing everything and having things in place for the weekend, we decided to deal with disputes and the pervert from the black mountain pack who finally died yesterday. We decided to ship his body back to his pack along with a little warning about how women should be treated and thinking twice before coming to my pack and f*****g around. Sixteen hours later, we finally got everything planned and organized, and then we called it a day. Allen’s software was still going, and hopefully, I would be able to find her soon.

After Mrs.Rose left, I was dumbfounded. I knew the day would come when I would have to face the elder council, but I didn’t think it would be so soon. I thought I would have more time. I immediately snapped a nice warm bath with lots of lavender. I needed to relax my mind. It kept racing with thoughts of the summit this weekend, but mostly it kept going back to that mysterious stranger. About my dream last night, it felt so damn real. I couldn’t get him out of my head. I felt drawn to him. It was weird how attracted I was to him and how he made me feel so safe. Not to mention how he made me want to do things I'd never wanted to do before. I hope to see him again someday. In fact, I needed to see him again. I don’t know why, but I just knew that I had to, but how? Do I just go back to the club in hopes of finding him? I needed some advice. Amethyst, are you there? You haven’t spoken to me all morning. Amethyst? She didn’t answer, and for the first time, I truly felt alone. Amethyst was always there for me and has become a major part of my life, especially since my parents died. I sighed and got out of the tub. I snapped on some shorts and a cropped hoodie. I put some curl custard in my hair and let it air dry. I mind-linked Arie and Talia to meet me in my room. I needed to explain to them about this weekend. When they arrived,

I let them in. Talia had a big smirk on her face again. I internally cringed. Maybe if I just ignored her and broke the news about the summit, she would just forget about what she had to say. I want to meet with you ladies to………..

Talia

Not so fast, Elle. Don’t you try to distract me when there is a hippo in the room!

Arie

Hippo?? Don’t you mean elephant?

Talia

Potato potahto same thing.

Elle

Arie and I both looked at each other and shrugged.

Talia

Don’t look at me like that. I said what I said; now back to you, Elle spill b***h! What the hell was that last night? One minute you were about to rip little d**k a new one, and then that hot piece of ass showed up out of nowhere, saved the day, and you two started eye f*****g each other.

Elle

I felt Amethyst growl a bit when she called him a hot piece of ass. This is the first time she has ever reacted that way to Talia, and to be honest, I felt a pang of jealousy too. I tried to rein in my feelings as she continued talking.

Talia

I swear if Alex didn’t get us out of there, you would have left with him. And not to mention the screams that were coming from your room this morning. Mrs. Rose said that you were having nightmares, but I know screams of pleasure when I hear them. Were you finally using that birthday present I got you, if you know what I mean? **wink** **wink**.

Elle

I never wanted the ground to open and swallow me up as much as I do right now. I was literally speechless. How did she hear me fudge? Did everyone in the house hear me? I will never be able to show my face again. I mentally face-palmed myself. What is this man doing to me? I literally made a fool out of myself, not even twenty-four hours after meeting him, and the sad part is I don’t even know his name! I was in deep thought when Talia spoke again!

Talia

Well, I'm waiting!

Elle

Okay, fine, let’s have a seat. To answer your first question, I don’t know what got into me the minute I stared into his eyes; I was a goner. I have never felt that way for anyone before. I was speechless the minute our fingers touched; there was a jolt of electricity that sent tiny sparks throughout my body. I was so drawn to him I couldn’t think of anything else. He is the man of my dreams, and I felt like I needed to be closer to him. I just couldn’t explain it. And yeah, you are right. If Alex didn’t get us out of there, I probably would have left with him. I would have gone anywhere he wanted me to go with him. It sounds weird, but I felt safe with him, as though I could trust him. I wasn’t scared or worried that he would hurt me. Elle Isabella White, I have known you since we were in diapers, and I know you like the back of my hand. I can tell when you are lying, and right now, you are lying to my face! Am I a joke to you? If you don’t tell me the truth right now, so help me, God!

Elle

Okay..okay, nothing ever gets past you, does it? I dreamt he was in my room on my bed, wearing only the gray sweatpants he had on in the club.

Talia

Oh, I like where this is going. Did you f**k him, you dirty little girl?!

Elle

I can’t believe you are making me tell you this, but if you must know, I didn’t f**k him in my dream; we were getting there, but my alarm clock went off and ruined it.

Talia

Did you at least get to see his d**k? I bet he was hung like a whale!

Arie

Horse Talia, I think the phrase is hung like a horse.

Talia

That “6’5” Greek God is way past horse status; Arie, he was definitely giving BDE.

Arie

Do I even what to ask what BDE means?

Talia

Big d**k Energy, Duh!

Elle

Okay, that’s enough; just hearing her talk about him made me jealous and possessive even. I don’t know what came across me. But I couldn’t listen to them arguing about his d**k anymore. I didn’t get to see it okay, but I felt it on my thigh, and I can’t believe I am saying this, but I agree with Talia on this one; he is definitely blessed in that region.

Arie

So what are you going to do, Elle?

Elle

Do about what, Arie?

Arie

What are you going to do about seeing him again?

Elle

I…I honestly don’t know Arie. I have to figure it out. Maybe I can go back to the club sometime and look for him, but I don’t even know where to start. It’s not like he was there the whole time we got there. He doesn’t even look like the clubbing type. I will figure something out.

Arie

Just know that whatever you decide, we support you one hundred percent and will be with you every step of the way.

Elle

Thanks, Arie, that means a lot. I'm going to need all the help I can get with finding him because I just can’t seem to get him off my mind. But it will have to wait for now because we have more important matters than my love life. They both perked up at my statement, eagerly listening for more. Do you know how we read about the alpha summit when we learned about the werewolves' history? They both nodded. Well, we are officially attending our first one.

Arie

Okay, that’s doable; we have been studying and working for this moment we can do this. When is it?

Elle

Well, that’s the thing, it’s this weekend. Their eyes looked like they were going to pop out of their heads! This weekend they both asked in unison. Yep, Mrs. Rose just came up to tell me. We have to meet with her this week for final training on exactly what to expect and learn about each pack and who we should make alliances with. So let’s head downstairs and meet her. She is in her office. But before we go, Talia, I have a question. Umm.. my screams, were they really loud? They both started laughing.

Talia

If you want to find out if everyone heard you, the answer is yes!

Elle

My cheeks were red with embarrassment. What am I going to do? How will I face everyone? Talia was eating this up and having a laughing fit, and Arie looked sorry for me while trying to hold back her laugh.

Talia

I’m just playing Elle; that’s my way of getting you back for trying to lie to me earlier. No, everyone didn’t hear you. Mrs. Rose heard you when she was up here giving Arie her life-saving drink. And I hear you well because I am half werebear and half wolf. I think I have better hearing than you two combined. I can hear a pin drop; it's a blessing and a curse sometimes. Don’t worry, Elle, your secret is safe with us, and Mrs. Rose genuinely thinks you had a nightmare. Honestly, that lady needs to get laid. If she was getting some on the regular, she would know that those were not screams from a bad dream but, in fact, they were screams from a good one, great even. Why is her name Mrs. Rose anyway? Where is Mr. Rose?

I looked at Arie, and we both shook our heads. If we didn’t leave now, she would keep finding more and more questions about poor Mrs. Rose. I grabbed both of their hands and snapped us all downstairs to the office.

Mrs.Rose

Ah, ladies, you are finally here. I was waiting for you; come on, have a seat around the table, and let's get started. I have packets for each of you containing all of the information you will need to help you while you are there. Every day leading up to the summit, we will discuss a prominent topic that is usually brought up during the summit. This way, you are well versed and know everything about each topic by the end of this week. So let's begin, shall we?

The week was long and tiring. I hated all of these rules made by the elder's council. They had rules against females having high-ranking positions as well as having warrior positions. They were still living in the stone ages, making me dislike them even more. How dare they make rules like this? Women are just as capable of doing anything a man can do! Hell, sometimes we can even do it better. They even had rules about hybrids, as they were frowned upon and deemed abominations. According to wolf law, it was strictly forbidden for different supernaturals to date, and a crime punishable by death to procreate. Mrs. Rose talked about the current threats from other supernaturals to the werewolf community. Faires and Vampires are top of the list, with fairies being number one. Great, not only am I an "abomination," but my fairy half will now pose a threat to all of these big bad alphas. Mrs. Rose made a list of all the packs that would be in attendance and gave us background information on each. Apparently, if we were to get the backing of the largest pack in North America that consists of ten-thousand members, then we would be fine. Currently, they were the strongest packs and one of the most feared, but they were fair and, most importantly, had modern ideologies.

Supposedly, they even have a female delta. The only issue is they absolutely do not have alliances. No matter how many times they were proposed an alliance from any of the packs attending the summit, the answer is always no. Well, damn, how are we supposed to secure an alliance with them if they don’t accept alliances? Especially for a new alpha like me and yeah, they may have modern ideologies and progressive thinking; a female delta is one thing, but what will they think of a female alpha who happens to be a hybrid of the one supernaturals who is currently number one on their list of threats? Crimson Moon Pack is the name, and I would have to find a way to make history, not only as the first female hybrid alpha, but also as the first pack to secure an alliance with Crimson Moon!
