Chapter 2 - Entranced into Submission

2301 Words
Adella; I don’t know what came over me, but I suddenly felt the need to get the hell out of there and fast! I felt a strong urge to locate my friends and let them know what had happened. I needed to feel safe with the people I know and trust. But my heart suddenly fills with dread as I arrive at the table to find it completely empty. My breaths are short and sharp as my wide-open eyes stare in confusion at the empty table, once surrounded by my closest friends. ‘Where the hell did they all go?’ I frown and look around the nightclub for any sign of them. I mean, they are a fairly large group of girls traveling together; they shouldn’t be too hard to find, even in a place as packed as this. But unfortunately, I have no luck locating them visually. When I am still unable to locate them I decide to pull out my phone and text Sara, my roommate and closest friend of the group. My fingers shake uncontrollably as I pad away a brief text message and hit ‘send’... TXT:  ‘Hey Sara, where did you guys go?  I must have lost you, I’m still at our table.  Call me...  Adella.’ I wait nervously as the message sends. My fingernails somehow find their way into my mouth as I look around the crowded nightclub, with bright laser lights flashing in all directions. The noise surrounding me is deafening to say the least and I am suddenly feeling strangely faint as my anxiety takes hold of me. I attempt to blink the sensation away, but it hangs on persistently. I suddenly feel a cold hand wrap around my wrist and I spin around to come face to face once again with the same handsome stranger as before. I gasp as our eyes lock with one another. And within seconds all thoughts of escape begin to dissolve, instead replaced by a warm, tingling feeling that begins to envelope my entire body… 'Oh fuck...' - Zane; My hand is wrapped around her left wrist and unwilling to budge as I simply stand there in silence, staring her down. My eyes are locked upon hers, working quickly to entrance her into submission with the use of my Vamperic powers and within a matter of seconds she is mine to command. You can always tell when a human has been entranced by the colour of their eyes; they turn the faintest glow of yellow and remain open, unblinking until the human has been issued a command to obey. And this woman is now mine to control, whether she is aware of it or not. I take this opportunity to lean in closer towards her, my nose brushing against her earlobe as I speak my command for her to hear. “Come with me.” After that I turn and pull her along after me as I begin making my way through the crowd of clubbers toward the entrance. She does not fight me; she does not resist in any way. And soon we are both exiting the nightclub together, stepping out into the crisp evening air as the party rages on behind us. I glance across toward the curb side and notice that there is no sign of the limousine, or of the others tasked with escorting the group of women. I let out a sigh of frustration. As already predicted, I am too late to join them. But no matter. I pull out my phone from my coat pocket and begin dialling a number, then lift it to my ear and listen as it rings several times. A hoarse voice answers on the third ring. “Yeah?” “This is Zane. I’m requesting immediate transport for two back to the Vamperial City.” I report. “Two?” the voice seems confused. “I’ll explain later. Use my phone to trace our exact location.” I explain. “And don’t keep me waiting like last time.” For some reason, he begins to argue with me, “Hey come on Zane, you know that wasn’t my fault-” “-Just send the f*****g car, Tillian.” I cut in sharply over the end of his sentence. With that I press the ‘end call’ button and pocket my phone with a huff. I glance over my shoulder to see that my beautiful human captive is still standing in a daze beside me. Her eyes are still glowing a bright yellowish shade as she stares blankly ahead, the wind blowing locks of her long blonde hair gently from one side to the other. Even given our current circumstances, I have to admit to myself that she looks utterly delectable. Enticing even. It’s difficult to pull my attention away from her captivating natural beauty. And in all honesty, if the situation were different perhaps I would make her my slave, or simply turn her… she may even make an ideal mate if… I shake my head in an effort to rid such forbidden thoughts from my mind. ‘I cannot think in such a way.’ ‘She can never be mine.’ Like it or not, this human is extremely vital to our kind; a rarity that must be protected until she can be presented to the Vampire King himself. As a lowly soldier, I could never possess something so precious. So… so perfect. - Adella; I don’t remember much about how I left the nightclub, let alone how I got here in the first place. All I know is that one minute I am staring at him with the music blaring around us and the next I suddenly awaken from what feels like a dazed slumber to find myself sitting in the back seat of some flashy town car! And low and behold, seated beside me is… him. The handsome stranger from the nightclub is in the car with me. He doesn’t seem to notice me at first; he’s far too busily typing away at his phone. It looks as if he is writing some sort of text message to someone, though I can’t see who the recipient is from here. The inside of this car is extremely dark, with the glow of the streetlights outside flashing as we pass each of them, one after the other. It is only then I hear his voice, as deep and smooth as I recall. “You have nothing to fear.” His empty promise only further fuels my concern as I swallow nervously and glance out the window beside me, desperate to locate any sort of familiar landmark that may identify where in the hell this stranger is taking me. Nothing but trees. Lots and lots of trees. I can feel my heart thudding loudly within my chest, I fear it may soon break free from my chest from its powerful force alone. I’ve seen enough horror movies to know when it’s time to panic. And this seems as good a time as any. I can no longer contain myself. “What’s going on?” I attempt to demand, though my tone shows obvious fear. “Did you kidnap me? Where the hell are you taking me?” “Just sit back and relax, please…” he calmly suggests, pinching the bridge of his nose. “It’s been a long night for us all.” I frown in disbelief at what he had just announced. ‘A long night? Was he serious?’ “Let me out of this car RIGHT NOW!” I command as angrily as I can manage. Without thinking my actions through entirely, I begin to panic and reach for the handle to the car door. As I grasp at the metal handle, I pull frantically at it only to find that it is locked. I try it several times but to no avail. By now my breathing is incredibly shallow as terror floods my mind at the possible outcomes of this terrifying scenario. “I wouldn’t waste my time if I were you.” he announces matter-of-factly as he pockets his phone and turns to face me. “I’m afraid you’re not going anywhere.” Anger begins to fill my veins and I glance down, noticing the high heels I am wearing. They have never appeared more useful before until they have now. An idea immediately formulates within my mind as I reach down and remove my right heel. “We'll see about that!” I shout defiantly as I lift the heel and smash it hard against the glass window. “Wait, DON’T!” he shouts as he lunges for me, trying to disarm the heel from my grasp. But he is too late. The sharpened end of the heel shatters the glass upon impact, sending shards of broken glass all over my lap and the interior of the car. I can feel his powerful grip pulling me back as I attempt to lean out through the now open window, screaming at the top of my lungs for someone... anyone to hear me and come to my rescue. “Help me! HELP!” I am suddenly silenced by his large palm as it covers my mouth, making each of my cries nothing more than muffled grunts. I struggle pointlessly against his hold, swinging my arms and legs wildly in the fight of my life. I refuse to allow this stranger to cause me any harm. The car suddenly veers to the left, the sound of the tyres screeching can be heard as we are forced to a halt somewhere up on the side of the road. I have no idea who is driving the car, but I guess the sound of a window breaking had alerted them to what was happening in the back seat. “Shhhhh…” I hear my captor attempt to soothe me with his intoxicating voice as I continue to fight against his hold. “Calm down…” I can feel his warm breath against the side of my neck as he holds my back in firmly against his chest. I grunt and try once more to free myself, but he is far too strong for me to overpower and I collapse helplessly into him, feeling tired and defeated. “That’s it… shhh… just relax… I don’t want to hurt you.” Normally I would melt into a puddle at the sound of such a deep and sensual voice, but right now I am fearful for my very life. Just when I feel it couldn’t possibly get any worse, my car door flies open and another figure appears, he too dressed in a dark tailored suit. And he doesn’t look happy to see me. His eyes glow a bright green hue, illuminating in the darkness of the surrounding night as he surveys the damage to his car with a frown and then turns his head back to look at me. “Zane, what the fuck...” he snaps angrily. “Look at this mess!” “Shut up and get the kit!” my handsome captor barks his command through gritted teeth. With a huff the second man disappears for a moment before re-emerging in the doorway once more with a small black zip-up pouch in his hand. I watch in horror as he quickly unzips it and takes out a small glass vile and what looks to be a… what the fuck... it’s a syringe! ‘Oh, hell no!’ My struggling suddenly moves into overdrive as I desperately fight to try and free myself from these potential kidnappers. Both my legs kick out against the one with the syringe as the man holding onto me in the car tries barking commands left right and centre. “Hurry the f**k up Harvey, just inject her already.” “You wanna give this a go? It’s not as easy as it looks, the b***h’s legs are all over the place!” I can now feel the warmth of my salty tears as they roll down both sides of my face, my blood feels as if it is on fire as I potentially fight for my life. Yet no matter how hard I fight against them, I begin to feel the sinister sensation of dread overcoming me. I watch as the kidnapper with the syringe climbs into the car and on top of one of my legs, reaching out to grab at the other. Seconds later I grunt as I feel the sharp sting of the syringe piercing through the delicate skin of my upper thigh. It is only then that I realise he has managed to stick me with it and inject the clear-coloured liquid straight into my system. He moves backwards to climb off of me, panting heavily as he shakes his head, rolls his eyes and walks back out of view. My body suddenly feels incredibly heavy as it is slowly flooded with a strange kind of warm sensation from the sedative drug. I can only assume that’s what they’ve given me, of course. I could be wrong. I can feel myself becoming more and more weakened as my body slumps down helplessly into my handsome kidnapper’s arms. He takes this moment to remove his hold over my mouth and turns my head to the side so that our eyes meet. “I can tell you’re gonna be a lot of trouble for me.” His words are the last thing I hear echoing in my ears before my eyelids become far too heavy for me to keep open.  Before I know it, I am slipping into a darkened state of unconsciousness with no idea of whether or not I will ever wake up again.
