She looks at me as if I've grown a second head, but I can tell she's considering my offer. Her beautiful brown eyes soften and she looks away from me. Judging by the pink that tints her cheeks, I must be getting to her.
Or scaring her.
"So let me get this straight; I'd be working here with just...you? No one else?" She bites her bottom lip and looks up at me with a shy grin.
I look around at the kitchen and shrug. "Do you see anyone else here?"
She rolls her eyes, but never stops smiling. "I don't know. I kind of need to find something a little more in my career path."
"I know it's not exactly a career move, but I can promise you I'm not an asshole like your last boss. As a matter of fact, I might be the coolest boss you'll ever have."
She giggles and shakes her
