Chapter 7
I pull into the office parking lot to see Piti standing outside, alone, with her arms crossed over her chest, tapping her foot impatiently. I smile at her and she scowls back at me. I start to get out of the car so she can get into the driver's seat, but she stomps around to the passenger side instead. She gets in with a huff and slams the door shut.
"Do you have any idea how freaking cold it is outside while you had me out here waiting?!"
I can't stop the smile that spreads across my face. "I'm so sorry, Piti. But I have good news! I got a job!"
