Chapter Twelve

the rain had gotten too much, so well all ran back to the car, me and Josh dived in the back seats and Emz and Damon got in the front. it was pissing down with rain out side, and it had started to thunder ever since i was little i have been so scared of it. but it wasn't that bad so i had to try and keep my cool Emily and Damon had started making out in the front seats. me and Josh turned to each other and started laughing.

'f**k you' Damon mumbled and flipped us off. which only made us laugh more.

Hey, what time is it?' i asked. Josh looked at his watch.

'it's 11.30' he said, s**t its late. oh well, i dont care.

'oh cool' i  replied. Josh moved a piece of my hair, that had fallen into my face, and put it behind my ear.

'why do you need to get home to mommy and daddy?' he joked. i smiled but it was forced. i turned to stare out the window.

'sorry, did i say something wrong?' he asked in a wondering, confused tone.

'i fell out with my mom and i dont live with my dad. he's back home in England with my brothers, and friends and family' i told him quietly. looking out the window.

'oh sorry, my parents are not together any more either, he's remarried now.' he said. i nodded. 'why did they break up?' he asked. i turned to look at him.

'because my dad was having a 5 year long affair.' i told him.

'oh. im sorry' he told me. i smiled and nodded.

'it's cool.'

Just then Emz and Damon turned around to look at us. Emz had a massive smile on her face.

'Kate im gonna stay at Damon's tonight. what are you doing?' she asked.

I'm going home' i told her. Josh put an arm over my shoulder and whispered in my ear;

'really, you dont want to stay with me?' i smiled and looked at him. he raised an eyebrow and smiled his cheeky smile.

'actually, im going to stay with Josh tonight' i said with a smile. Emily nodded and turned to Damon.

'looks like we're all staying together then.' he turned to her and smiled and kissed her again.

'well, then let's get you girls home to get some stuff.' he said as he turned around and started the car, and drove off down the street towards home

Josh moved into the middle seat. i leaned across and rested my head on his shoulder. he wrapped an arm around me. and held me tight. before i knew it, we were on the kerb out side the garden drive fence.

'i wonder if she's home yet?' i said to myself as we got out of the car. me and Emz headed up to the house and the guys followed.

'do you have your keys?' i whispered. she tapped her pockets.

'f**k. no' she whisper yelled.

'great, what do we do now?' i asked. still whispering. i sighed and leaned against the door. then an idea popped into my head. 'are your keys on the kitchen counter?' i asked. she nodded. i smiled.

'wait here' i told the three of them. i remembered i left the window open in the kitchen this morning. i walked around the back and got one of the garden chairs and put it under the still open window. i climbed through it and over the counter. it was pitch black in the house. i stumbled my way over to the light switch. i flipped it on and grabbed the keys off the side and ran to the door. i quickly unlocked it and let them in.

'hurry up!' i whispered. they all came in and Josh closed the door behind him. we tip toed over to the stairs and headed to our rooms. Emz and Damon disappeared into her room and closed the door behind them. me and Josh walked past my moms closed bed room door. i could hear her giggling. i looked up and brian and then to her closed bed room door.

'oh god!' i whisper yelled and grabbed Josh hand and pulled him into my room, closing the door behind us.

'wow!, you are a fan' he chuckled. i turned around to look at him. he was looking around my room. i smiled and headed over to one of my boxes with my clothes in it. i grabbed some white skinny jeans, simple black flats and my strapless top and shoved it all into my black shoulder bag. i walked over to my bed side table and grabbed my phone, iPod and keys.

'hey, fan girl' Josh whipsered in my ear as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind me. i smiled.

'hey,' i told him. he chuckled and kissed my neck, but just then, some one knocked on my bed room door. i sighed and walked over it. i opened it.

'Emz, what- mom' i said. i just froze. s**t. she just looked at me.

'where the hell have you been?' she questioned.

'with some friends. im staying out tonight' i told her bitterly. she just looked at me. and crossed her arms over her chest. 'shouldn't bother you though. Mr random is here to keep you busy.' i told her and slammed the door in her face. i turned around, Josh wasn't there.

'Josh!' i whispered just in case my mom was still out side the door. 'Josh!' i asked again. where the hell is he. i walked over to the bath room. no, not in there. i checked under the bed, nope. i sighed and laid down on my bed. 

'where are you?' i wondered out loud. i closed my eyes and giggled. but then i felt something jump on the bed. i gasped and my eyes flew open, meeting those big brown one. staring back at me.

I'm right here' he said. i smiled and he leaned down and kissed. me. but after about a minutes i pulled away and sat up.

'come on, they're probably waiting for us' i told him, i grabbed my bag and walked over to the door. Josh jumped off my bed and closed the door behind us. we ran past my mom's bed room door and headed to Emz's room. i knocked and opened it. Emz and Damon were lying on the bed making out.

'guys come on' i whispered. they stopped and shot up like a rocket.

'god, i thought you were your mom again' Emily sighed. she got up off the bed and walked over to the door. Damon grabbed a bag off the floor and we all ran down the stairs and out the front door.

'give me your bag' Josh said. i did and she walked down the garden to the car and put our stuff in the boot. i locked the door and pst the keys to Emz...

'can you believe this?' she asked in her normal happy tone. i smiled and shook my head.

'i know, it feels like a dream.' i told her. we walked down to the car and got in with the guys.

'ok, let the fun begin' Damon said we all laughed and he started the car again and drove off down the road.
