Chapter Four

Katie's P.O.V

I jumped off the sofa and watched Emily run over to my mom and giving her a hug. I loved my cousin, she's full of so much energy, she must live on red bull or some thing.

'Fine then, Dont worry, I dont want a hug.' I started to fake cry. My mom and Emily just laughed at me.

'Come on then' Emily shouted at me, I ran over to them and wrapped my arms around the both of them. Then I remembered this morning. 

Hmm...Mommy, Mommy, Mommy, Pay backs is certainly a b***h.

'So, I unpacked the s**t. You like?' I asked, holding my hands up and spinning around on the spot. My mom smiled and nodded her head.

'Looks good, But Kate....the music is very loud.' She had a serious face on. 

Wow! Is she mad?

'Avenged Sevenfold, good choice' She started to smile at me. She walked back into the hall way and picked up Emily's cases.

'Right, girls. Go take these to one of the many bed rooms up stairs. You can have your own room for when you came and visit us, it's not like we're short on space. I mean, you're gonna be here for a few months so you might as well have your own room.' She finished with a smile and handed us Emily's bags. We both looked at each other and started to giggle and laugh. We took the bags and ran up stairs. Em grabbed the room next door to me. 

Yay!

After we unpacked Emily's stuff and put it all away, We decided to grab our bathing suits and skate boards and some other things and ran down stairs again.

'Mom, We are going down to the beach, Wanna come?' I asked. She smiled and shook her head.

'Sorry, girls but I have to go shopping. Oh, and Katie?......'

'Yeah, Whats up?'

'I found a job today, but I need to start tonight, Do you mind if I go?, My shift starts at 10 and finished at 3. Is that ok' she asked. I nodded my head and smiled.

'Yeah, that's fine. Cool, you found a job, Where?' I asked. Funny she didn't mention it before.

'Oh, just some bar down the pier. So, do you want a lift?' Me and Emily nodded at the same time. Mom grabbed her keys off the side in the kitchen and headed out to the car.

'Be out in a minute mom' I called to her. She held up her hand, saying ok and got in the car. I ran back up stairs and grabbed my back pack and went back down again. Emily was still in the front room. I walked in and threw my bag down on the sofa.

'Ok, towels, iPod, swim suits, money, phone.......' I said out loud to myself as I threw all my stuff in my back pack before throwing it to Emily. She put her stuff in and zipped it back up, throwing it over her shoulder as we made our way to the car on the drive. We hoped in and mom started the car.

After we left our street, Mom drove us down to town, She dropped us off out side of Star bucks.

'Ok, girls have fun. I'll meet you here at 7 OKs? Dont be late. You will have to put up with take out tonight Ok? I'll buy some snacks and pop for you too.' We both nodded and got out of the car. We said our good byes to my mom before heading down to the pier. When I looked back, my mom was still there, she was sat, talking on her phone, she was smiling and laughing.

'Wonder who she is talking to?' I wondered out loud. Emily looked at me and smiled.

'Dont know but she looks happy. Come on, let's have some fun' And with that, she grabbed my arm and pulled me away. When I looked back, I saw her put her phone away and drive off again. 

'Oh my god look!' Emily screamed at me. I turned my head around quickly to face her.

'What, look at what?' I was looking around wondering what she meant.

'Over there, I think they have to be the hottest guys I've ever seen!' I turned to see where she was looking, and then I saw them, They were sat on a bench by an ice cream stand.. and she was right... they were f*****g hot! 

'God, Em, There's no need to scream, They can probably hear you!' I teased her. 'Close your mouth, if they see you they will think you're a retard.' I laughed, she gave me a mega death glare but smiled and laughed back, I think we were a little too loud because when we turned back around to face the pier, the two hot guys were staring at us.

'Sorry' we both said together at no one, but everyone at the same time. We looked back over at them and they seemed to be smiling and talking together, But then one looked up at us.

'Oh my god, that one is looking at us, and smiling!!' she whispered as we walked over to where they were sat, to get an ice cream. 

I was trying to think if this was a good idea or not but before I could say ''let's forget it'', we were stood next to them... I mean, we were going there to get ice cream before we even saw them. Being near two insanely hot guys was just good luck! 

'No!' I whisper yelled in Emily's ear, 'He's looking at you and smiling' when she looked up, she realised that he really was looking at her, and she looked away again, blushing. It was sooo cute.

When we reached the ice cream stand, We were right next to them. I could hear them whispering. They weren't as quiet as they think they were.

'............I know, Nice ass' I think I heard the one staring at Emily whisper. I looked at Emily and she smiled and blushed darker. She had heard him too.

'Hello, I said what flavour do you want?' The very rude man behind the stand shouted at us, Snapping me and Emily out of our little listenin' thing.

'Oh, I'm sorry, Can I have a double scoop of Cookie Dough please?' Emily asked. The man gave her what she wanted and then turned to me,

'And you?' Wow, this guys was really rude.

'Can I have the same please' I gave him a fake smile. He gave me mine and I took it with out saying thank you. If he's going to be rude to us, I'm going to be rude to him. I grabbed my money out of my pocket and handed it to him, He looked over my shoulder and shook his head.

'Dont worry about it, It's on them apparently.' And with that, he turned around and started to speak to someone else. 

Me and Emily gave each other a side ways look and smiled at each other before turning around to face them.

'Thank you. That was nice of you' Emily said with the biggest smile on her face. She ran her finger across the top of her ice cream, before putting the finger in her mouth and sucking on it. She was sooooo flirting with this stranger right now. I just giggled at her attempt, but it seemed to work because his eyes widened and he started grinning like an i***t. I turned to the other guy, who was looking at me.

'Thank you' I smiled at him, he smiled back.

'You are so very welcome' With out a second to react, Not that I would any way, He ran his finger across my ice cream and did the same as Emily. I just stared at him, mouth hanging open but I was smirking.

'Ummmm....yummy' he said with a smile and gave me a wink.

'Now that is rude. Do you always steal other peoples ice cream with out asking?' I asked in a flirty way. He smiled and shook his head.

'Not very often, Do you always let random men buy you ice cream?'

'Oh, got me there.' We stood staring and smiling at each other of what seemed like forever.

'Well.....what about dinner?' Oh my god, Did he just ask me out on a date?!. Oooohhhh Mmmmyyyy Ggggooooddddd!!

'Nope, why do you ask?' I was sooo flirting right now, and so was he. Emily and her stranger had walked off back to the bench to talk.

'Just wondering' I smiled again, but I was a little disappointed.

'Come on, let's go save your friend'. He turned and paid the man for the ice cream and we walked back over to where they were.

We sat talking and having a laugh with the guys for a little while. The one that seemed to have an interest in Emily was named Damon and the one I thought was cute was called Josh...But then Emily remembered the beach.

's**t, Katie, I left our bag with our stuff in it, in your mom's car.'

'Oh, s**t, its got my phone in it.' I slapped my head, then realised, Emily was supposed to have it. I gave her a mega death glare but soon broke it with a sweet smile. I could never get mad at Emily for too long. Suddenly I realised, the sun was starting to set, most of the people had disappeared. Where did the time go?

'Crap, What time is it' I said looking at Emily, she shrugged her shoulders.

'It's 7.10. Why some where to be?' Josh asked with a cheeky grin.

'f**k! Yeah, and we are so f*****g late! Sorry. We have to go.' I grabbed Emily's arm and stood up. Josh's grin faded and Damon frowned.

'Sorry, guys but we need to go home, My moms got work at 10 and we were supposed to meet her a while ago.' Emily stood up, Damon got up to, followed by Josh.

'I'm really sorry.' I said, in a pleading voice so Josh would know how sorry I was, He just nodded, Damon smiled at Emily and she smiled back.

'Bye Damon, Bye Josh' Emily said, Damon pulled her in for a hug, and she hugged him back, tight.

'Bye Josh, Bye Damon' I told them, Damon just smiled at me, But Josh pulled me in for a hug, much like Damon did with Emily.

'Will I see you again or you just on holiday or some thing?' I heard Josh whisper in my ear, but only loud enough for me to hear.

'I just moved here yesterday, with my mom. So I'm not going any where.' I whispered back.

'So I can see you again?' he asked. I pulled away from the hug and stepped back. I had a smile on my face.

'Yeah, if you can find me.' And with that, I grabbed Emily's arm again and ran back into town to meet my mom. 

God, what an amazing day. I can't believe I played it that cool. When we got to my mom's car, she was on the phone again, as soon as we got into the car she hung up and turned to me.

'So, good day?' She asked with a smile.

'The best.' I sighed and leaned back in the chair as mom stepped on the gas and we headed home...
