Chapter Ten

'Yeah, it's me. Are you okay? Josh told me some thing went down. What happened?' He explained. Aww...he's sweet to phone and ask if I was ok.

'Umm, yeah, I'm ok. How did you get my number?' I asked. I looked up at Emily she just smiled at me. I smiled back.

'Josh gave it to me. I told him I wanted to speak to Emily, which I do but I just need to talk to you first.' He told me.

'Ok, what about?' I asked.

'Josh'

'Oh, what about him?' I asked, not actually sure if I wanted an answer and to talk about what happened. I felt stupid enough talking to Emily about it and she's my cousin and best friend. Where as Damon is Josh's best friend. Will he just think I'm being stupid and childish?

'What happened?' he asked. Worry in his voice.

'Nothing happened' I lied and he noticed.

'That's not true. Josh got back this morning and he's not come out of his bed room since. He actually punched Richie just because he said he was happy with his new girl. I love my life too much to risk it by going up to his room, So that's why I'm asking you' He told me. he's just worried about his friend. Thats so sweet.

'Ok, well, What did Josh tell you?' I asked. I dont want to repeat any thing he already knows.

'Nothing much, just that he fell out with you and he's really pissed because of it.' Oh, so he really doesn't know. Well, I guess I should tell him.

'Well, We kissed but I ran away from him and now im not answering my phone or text's' I told him, getting upset again but at the same time annoyed with myself.

'Why?' Damon asked.

'Because..he's married' I told him in a slight matter of-fact way

'He's getting a divorce though' he said

'He's still married at the end of the day.'

'Can I let you in on a little secret Katie?' he asked but in a way that he would even if I said no.

'Sure' I told him.

'When Josh found out Sammy had cheated on him with one of his friends, he was heart broken, he really loved her and she ripped out his heart and threw it back in his face like it was nothing. It took him a long time to get over her, Then he met you, he only met you yesterday but any one with eye balls can see he likes you.'

'You really think he likes me?' I asked, kinda happy. Emily looked at me and smiled.

'See, told you' she whispered. I pushed her off the bed and we burst out laughing.

'Yeah, Of course, he does. Why are you laughing?' He asked confused.

'Oh, I just pushed Emily off my bed and she fell on the floor' I said still laughing, Damon started to laugh too.

'Aww...Is she ok?' He asked.

'Yeah, she's fine. Do you want her number?' I asked looking at Emz, she shot up and looked at me, a smiled wide on her face.

'Yes, please' he answered a little too quickly. I gave him her number and hung up. 2 seconds later her phone rang from down the hall. I burst out laughing when she almost fell flat on her face running from my room.

I laid on my bed, staring up at the walls. I leaned over and put my stereo on. I grabbed a CD and soon the sounds of Murderdolls - Nowhere filled my room.

'KATIE! KATIE, GET UP!' Emz screamed at me. I must have fallen asleep. I looked at my clock. It was 4 pm. I had slept the whole day away?. I turned my stereo off and looked up at Emily in my door way.

'What?' I asked a little annoyed that she had woke me up.

'Get up and get a shower' She ordered.

'Why?' I asked confused as I rubbed my eyes and looked at her.

'Because We are going out your mom is out with a friend then is going straight to work later.' She told me, I sighed and nodded and got out of bed, I picked up my phone and looked at the inbox. I had one new message from Josh. I told Emz i would get ready and she left me to do so.

'Wear some thing nice and sexy' she shouted from her room.

'Why?' I shouted back.

'Just do it!' She screamed at me. I sighed and read the message;

'Hey, Damon told me he spoke to you. I under stand now why you got upset. I'm sorry. I didnt under stand before. Ha, I'm such a guy. :) Any way. I'm sorry. Josh xx'

I smiled and put my phone away. I got up and got in the shower. 

After I got out, I dried my hair and up my make-up on, before wrapping myself in a towel and heading into my room. Only to scream at the top of my lungs, get the shock of a life time and nearly die of fright, all at the sight of HIM sitting there at the bottom of my bed.

'What are you doing here?!' I shouted , very annoyed.

'Katie, I'm sorry about before' He told me.

'Right and suddenly coming to my house and getting into my bed room and sitting on my bed, waiting for me to get out of the shower is the best way to do that?' I snapped at him.

He stood up and walked to me. I looked away, not wanting to look at him.

'I wanted to say sorry in person, not over the phone, Well, you are not answering your phone' He smiled and said the last bit in a joking way, But I still didn't look at him. He put a finger under my chin, lifting my head up to look at him. I knew my eyes were wet and I was on the edge of crying, and he knew it too. He used his thumb to wipe away a tear on my cheek.

'I'm sorry' He whispered to me. I could tell he really was.

'I like you Josh' I admitted, looking him straight in the eye.

'I like you too' he told me with a little smile.

'But this cant happen...yet' I told him as I stepped away from him.

'I need to get dressed so can you leave please' I asked turning around and walking away.

'I'll wait down stairs for you' he told me. I didnt answer him. I'm just glad mum wasn't here. Which reminds me, I'll have to say sorry to her tomorrow.

I got dressed and headed down stairs. Man, Emz is so gonna pay for telling them to come over and then for letting Josh into my room like this...
