Chapter 19 picking Ava up

Updated  Isaiah’s P.O.V   The next morning I woke up feeling great because I was going to be bringing Ava here, but then I suddenly felt nervous. What if she sees something she shouldn’t be seeing and freaks out? We only had two pack members that were due to shift and luckily it wasn’t until next week, but I wasn’t sure if there was anyone else and that was the problem. I didn’t know. I walked downstairs to my dad's office and walked right in, knowing that he didn’t have any meetings today. Dad was sitting in his chair and he was in a daze as he looked at mom's photo, but as soon as he saw me he placed it back on his desk and looked at me.   “Don’t mind me, I was just talking to your mother.” Dad said, making me smile.    “Don’t worry, dad, I do the same thing. I just came in to let you know that I’m heading over to Ava’s to bring her back here. I just hope that everything works out for the best and nothing goes wrong.” I replied, still feeling nervous, but dad just smiled at me.   “Nothing will go wrong, don’t worry, Isaiah. It will be fine. I’ll have someone cook dinner and she will get to meet everyone. Besides, she is the future Luna of this pack, so the more she gets to know everyone the better. It will be okay and your sisters are dying to meet her, so you need to go and get her because they will be here in a few minutes and you know what they are like if you keep them waiting.” Dad said and I rolled my eyes. I knew my sisters meant well, but I didn’t want them to swamp Ava.   “Alright, I’m heading out now. I’ll text her and ask her to be ready.” I replied, taking my phone out. I knew that if Ava and I were even a second late my sisters would come looking for us, worried that something had happened to us. Me - Hey Ava, I’m on my way. Everyone is looking forward to meeting you. Typing….typing….typing…. Ava - Hey Isaiah, just how many people am I going to be meeting? Should I run and hide? Jk, I’ll be ready. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, see you soon. I smiled as I looked at her message and then put my phone back into my pocket, nodding to my dad as I did so.   “Alright, I’m heading to pick her up now.” I said and he smiled as I left dad's office. I left the pack house and got into my car, then drove off, but the whole time I was really nervous, just hoping that everything worked out. I drove through the streets to her house and then went down the little dirt road to her house which was the only house in these woods. It was close to everything, my pack house and territory, but also a rogue pack. I hoped that the rogues had not messed with her at any point, but Ava hadn’t mentioned anything, so it was alright so far. I drove up to her house and parked up, then got out and walked up to the porch, knocking on the front door. Ava came out after a few seconds and I was already having a hard time not taking her right there and then. She was wearing jeans that showed off her curves, a shirt that fit her correctly and knee high boots that looked sext as hell on her. She had her hair up in a high ponytail and a light amount of make-up on, which was just perfect. She looked so beautiful and I had to hurry and look back up to her eyes before she caught me staring for too long.   “Are you ready to go?” I asked, kissing her cheek.   “Yes, all ready.” Ava replied, nodding. I held the door open and helped her into my car before getting in and driving off back to the pack house.   “When we get there you are going to see a lot of family and friends, but don’t worry you’re not meeting all of them. My father takes care of them and before you ask, no, we are not a cult, we are just a big family, that's all.” I said, kinda telling the truth. I thought I had put her off a little, which wasn’t my intention, but then she started laughing.   “I really wasn’t thinking that, but thanks for the heads up. Now I’m going to start looking for little white cups filled with poisoned Kool aid..” Ava replied, making us both burst out laughing. We got to the gates and one of the guards nodded as he opened them, letting me drive through.   “Are you sure you’re not mafia?” Ava asked, making me chuckle.   “What happens if we are?” I asked, needing to know where she stood. I know we had briefly spoken about it before, but I needed to know she could handle this lifestyle.   “Like I said before to each their own, I guess, just don’t kill me.” Ava replied, shrugging her shoulders. I parked the car in front of the pack house and then turned to look at her.   “We don’t kill unless we have to or if someone owes us money and is refusing to pay it back, then we just go and get it, that's about it. It's a boring mafia life and nothing exciting happens unless we go out on a job, so my secret is out, what now?” I asked, hoping she wouldn’t run a mile, but to my surprise she just smirked.   “Nothing, you already said you wouldn’t kill me, so I’m good with that. Come on, I want to meet your family.” Ava replied, making me smile when she said that. I chuckled and shook my head at how resilient she was. She was perfect in every way and I couldn’t wait to make her mine forever. I got out of the car and ran round to her side, opening the door and holding my hand out for her. I helped her out of the car, but didn’t let go of her hand as we walked up the steps to the front door of the pack house. I was praying to the Moon Goddess and keeping my fingers crossed that everything went without problem tonight.
