Ava’s P.O.V
Isaiah and I walked over to where he said the training fields were and he tried to hold my hand again, but I didn’t let him. I was still mad at him and how he had handled everything, so until he apologised for that and explained more to me, I wasn’t going to be getting close to him. We made it to the training grounds and I saw Polly and Nicole there along with a few others. They had changed their clothes and were now giving orders to the others who were standing in front of them. Nicole looked up and smiled at me, then turned to face the others.
“Everyone, I want you all to meet Ava, she is the future Luna of the Blood Moon Mafia pack and she is here to watch us train, maybe even join in if she wants to.” Nicole announced, winking at me. I watched the training and saw as two were going hand to hand, punching, kicking and flipping each other. Ouch I thought as one of them landed really hard on their tail bone. I think I would be able to do that, but I want to watch and see what else they know how to do.
“Alright guys, I want two of you to shift into your wolves, I want to see you battle in wolf form.” Polly said and I immediately looked at Isaiah.
“What does she mean when she says shift into their wolves?” I asked, but just as I did I heard what sounded like bones breaking. I turned around and saw that two massive wolves stood where the two men were. My eyes went huge as I hid behind Isaiah, scared. I peeked out from behind him as my heart was thumping so hard in my chest I felt like it was going to burst right through my rib cage and out of my chest.
“Ava, it's okay, it's still them but this is their other form, their wolf form. Watch as they do battle in wolf form and you will see, but we do need to back up some.” Isaiah said, moving us further back from the wolves in front of us.
“Alright, I want you to battle until I say stop. Lets see what you have learnt and also who ends up on top, when I say go. one…two….three…GO!” Polly announced and as soon as she said go the wolves started fighting. The huge grey wolf jumped into the air and landed on the brown wolf, then started nipping at his ear, but then the brown wolf bucked up and knocked him off. Suddenly the brown wolf turned and ran at the grey wolf, headbutting him with his massive head and knocking him to the ground. The brown wolf stood over the grey wolf and let out the loudest howl I had ever heard, making me have to cover my ears to stop them from bursting.
“Alright, that was a great fight, now shift back and go inside, then you can shower and relax for the rest of the day.” Polly announced and I was surprised when the wolves looked right at her, as if they understood every word that was being spoken. Did they, I mean, could they understand human talk when they were wolves? I watched as the two wolves ran off towards the house we came from, which if I remember right Isaiah said was called the pack house and then they changed back into human, but they were both naked. They tried to cover everything up, but their hands would only cover so much and it was quite funny to see two grown men fleeing naked across the house. Isaiah quickly covered my eyes, making Polly and Nicole laugh as he did so.
“Ava, you are my mate and I don’t want you looking at naked men, the same as I don’t want other men looking at you.” Isaiah said and then he removed his hand from my eyes.
“They looked like they understood what Polly said, did they?” I asked, looking at Isaiah and he nodded.
“Yes, they can understand everything that is said when they are in wolf form. They have gone back to relax now because shifting takes a lot out of a person.” Isaiah said and I nodded, not completely understanding the whole shifting process yet.
“Ava, would you like to try and train with us? You can train with one of the she-wolves, but of course only in human form?” Nicole asked and I felt excited, but also confused.
“She-wolf? Is that just another name or term for a female wolf? Sure, I would love to.” I replied, trying to get it right in my head and Isaiah nodded. I was glad that I was getting the terms right, but I knew there was still a lot I didn’t understand.
“Well, come to the middle of the circle and Kari will train with you. She’s going to throw a few punches and you do whatever you can to either block or hit back, okay. Are you ready?” Nicole said, just as a woman, I assumed Kari stepped forward and we both nodded.
“Alright, let's begin.” Nicole said as we stepped into the circle.
Kari’s P.O.V
I can beat this one easy, she’s only a human after all, nothing special. I smirked as I threw a punch but I missed her by a hair. Alright, let's do this, I thought to myself, but then Ava threw a punch and it landed a blow right on my jaw. Everyone heard as she connected her fist with my jaw and as my jaw dislocated.
“Keep going, you two.” Polly said as I put my jaw back in place. I growled as I grabbed Ava and kneed her in the stomach, but in return Ava punched me in the nose and my face a few times. Blood was dripping from my face now, but the whole time Polly and Isaiah were keeping a close eye on us, while Nicole trained the others.
“Alright, let's stop. Kari, seriously, you have trained for almost a month and you just got your ass handed to you.” Polly said, making me feel bad, but she was forgetting the biggest thing.
“Ms Polly, if you remember, I haven’t shifted yet.” I replied, but she shook her head.
“That's no excuse, Kari, you’re still a wolf and still have more training.” Polly said, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Alright, fine, I’ll confess, I thought I would take it easy on her since she is a human, but when she landed that first blow to my face, I was stunned. Polly, the new soon to be Luna, is one badass b***h and she hits really hard.” I said and they all started laughing
