Chapter 10 training

1340 Words
Isaiah’s P.O.V   The alarm went off and I rolled over, turning it off and then rolled back over closing my eyes. I really didn’t want to leave the comfort of my bed, but I knew I had to be out on the training fields today, so I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I took a quick shower, dried off and then got dressed. I went downstairs and decided to check on dad before I did anything.   “Hey dad, do you need me for anything? How did last night go?” I asked and he told me what happened with the collection. I shook my head as he told me, but in all honesty nothing surprised me with this kind of thing anymore.    “Dad, one of these days you are going to have to start investigating what they want the money for before you lend it to them.” I said, but he just chuckled at me.   “Son, that would be easy and no fun at all.” Dad replied, making me chuckle.   “One of these nights I’ll have to go with you so I can see what goes on, but not tonight as I have a date with my mate.” I said and my dad's eyes lit up.   “Really? You asked her out, good for you. You’re going to need to be careful though, don’t get me wrong I don’t have anything against humans, your mother was a human when we first met…” Dad said, making my head snap up to him.   “Mom was a human, I always thought she was a natural born wolf and you just turned her into a lycan as well.” I said, but dad shook his head.   “No, your mother was once a human and she went on a collection with me once, but she stepped forward to protect me and ended up getting stabbed. She was near death and I had to change her, but trust me once she woke up she was so pissed off at me. There is a lot you don’t know about your mother and I, like I almost lost her once when a she-wolf drugged me, making me think that your mother was the enemy and she left me with that one, but I got her back after months of looking for her. If only I could bring her back now, I would do it in a heartbeat. I miss her every day.” Dad said and I nodded, placing my hand on his shoulder.   “I know, dad, I do too. Thanks for telling me this, your story with mom. Right, I need to get out to the training grounds, Polly wants me to supervise and see how the new recruits are doing, plus some she-wolf called Krystal is going to be shifting next week.” I said and my dad nodded.   “Well get out there and see if you can help or give them some pointers.” Dad said, as I got up from the chair and headed out the door. I left the pack house and ran over to the training grounds just in time to see them finish running their laps and collapsing on the ground. I walked over and stood next to Polly and Nicole, but then everyone turned and looked up at me, knowing exactly who I was. They all started to look slightly scared and were probably wondering what they had done, seeing as the son of the mafia king was here watching them.   “Relax everyone, he’s only here to watch and see how good you really are.” Nicole said and I watched as they all relaxed a little.   “Alright guys, today will be tougher for some of you as I know that some of you have shifted and some will be shifting at a later time, like Krystal, who will be shifting next week. So guys I want to see what you know. Krystal and Paris, I want you two to do hand to hand, but Krystal I want you to go at it like Paris is trying to steal your mate.” Polly said and they both nodded.   “Cat fight.” Ian said, chuckling, but that was a huge mistake. I walked over to Ian and kneeled down in front of him, making him look up at me from where he was sitting.   “What the f**k did you just say?” I asked and Ian looked scared.   “I’m sorry sir, I was only joking.” Ian said, but I just shook my head at him as I stood up.   “Stand up.” I said and Ian quickly jumped to his feet, standing in front of me.   “Ian, do you really think this is a joking matter? That Krystal will be shifting next week and if she’s not strong enough she could die? Is that a f*****g joking matter to you, man?” I asked, making Ian gulp hard.   “No sir, but I was just…” Ian said, trying to make an excuse.   “You were just what?” I asked, but he just looked down, knowing he had done wrong.   “I’m sorry, I never meant to offend you or anything like that.” Ian said, looking at Krystal and she nodded.   “Thank you.” Krystal replied and it was obvious that she didn’t really know what to say.   “Okay, the show’s over now, so let's get started. Krystal, Paris, come to the middle and get into your stances. Krystal I want you to listen to your wolf, Pink and when the fighting starts she will guide you, okay.” Nicole said as the girls stood in the middle.   “Alright girls, I want you to do hand to hand only, that means no flipping or kicking, that's for tomorrow.” Polly said and they both nodded.    Krystal’s P.O.V   Paris threw the first punch, hitting me in the face and making me stagger back a bit, but I quickly shook it off.   “Pretend you’re going to hit her with your left fist and instead hit her with your right.” My wolf Pink said and I did just that. Paris looked surprised as I landed the blow with my right fist instead of my left, so I carried on listening to my wolf and following her instructions.  We went on like this for about thirty minutes before the fight was over and we fell on the ground laughing. We were both a bloody mess, but we had fun.   “Alright, Ian, Hunston, step up. I want you to do the same.” Polly said and they both nodded. Ian and Hunston went at it and they did pretty good, but by the time they stopped it was time to end training.   “Alright everyone, Isaiah wants to say something before you leave.” Nicole said and Isaiah stepped forward, looking at all of us.   “Alright guys, I’m proud of what I saw today, but you need to try harder. Polly and Nicole are awesome trainers, so listen to them and you will be the top fighters and warriors. The worst is yet to come with your training as tomorrow I’ll be back out here with Joseph and his sister Lexi. they are going to show you hand to hand and also how to fight with your wolves, now go get washed up and rest.” Isaiah announced and we all hurried away.    “Damn, I never want to face that guy in a fight, he scares the s**t outta me.” Ian said to Hunston as we walked away.    “Well keep your mouth shut next time because that's going to be the next mafia king, so shut the hell up.” Hunston replied, hurrying into the pack house. I couldn’t help laughing at their reactions, but then again they had every right to be scared of Isaiah and who he was.
