‘Dad.’ I mind-linked my dad as we traveled through this forsaken area, which was known for its wild dragons and the death they bring. I just hoped that we would not come across any. We lost a wagon of lads last time. I have no idea if they eat them or take them to their lair to feed on them. However, that would be the end of the trip. For them, an ending would not be a good end.
‘Son?’ he replied cautiously, and I think he was distracted.
‘We are near the town. We should make it in a few minutes. I wanted to let you know we are bringing a woman with us. Her name is Betty and she is my fated mate. She is young and beautiful.’ I told him as if I was giving a report.
