I nervously glanced over at Naida, who was standing next to me. She looked a lot more relaxed than I felt and I wasn’t even sure why I was nervous. Being forced to shift had been painful, but the more times we did it, the easier it had become. We had already seen our parents in their fishy form and today was all about under the water training. We knew how to swim in human form and although it wasn’t as easy when in our mermaid form, we had begun to get the hang of it. Talia and Michelle were once again picnicked under one of the palm trees while Greg and Zale were already in the sea.
“Ok, girls, I want you to come on in and transform. I’m sure you’ve already noticed how much easier it gets each time,” my father called out to us and my heart started pounding in my chest like crazy
