“Do you have any idea what is going on?” I asked Michelle as I sat down across from her at the kitchen table.
“I don’t know, but I don’t think we need to worry about them questioning us,” she said as she picked up her cup of tea. “Right now, they are both distracted by school, boys, and their failing friendship,”
“I wonder what happened,” I said out loud as I tried to figure it out. “I mean, we have literally been watching their friendship fall apart,”
“Last night, Abby asked me when we would be returning home,” Michelle informed me with a loud sigh. “I told her soon, but she wasn’t happy with that answer,”
“I suppose it's best that you return home,” I remarked sadly. “As much as I have enjoyed having you here, it is obviously doing more damage than good,”
