Rowan's POV: The curtains softly let in the early morning light as I woke up. The room seems to be very quiet with only the faint sound of Madison and Eldon breathing beside me. I laid still for a moment while allowing myself to take in the tranquil scene. Eldon was curled up between Madison and me with his tiny hands gripping the blanket, and Madison on the other hand lay close to me as her dark hair spread across the pillow. I allowed myself to forget everything else for a brief moment. As I concentrated on the two people who mean the most to me, the chaos, the pain, and the fear all seemed to be so far away. I couldn't help but smile as I admired both of them. As I lay still on the bed, my thoughts drifted back to all that transpired the previous night after leaving the infirmary.
