Gaius's POV:
The pain feels so unbearable, with the constant, raging ache seeping into every part of me.
I can barely lift my legs and the hand on my right side, where the branch had penetrated deep into my body, feels almost lifeless.
Each and every breath that I took seemed like a struggle, but I forced myself to continue. I have to. For Andrew, Rowan and all of us.
As the first glimmer of morning surfaced in the sky, Rowan and Andrew cared for my wounds as the bandages which were used the previous night were already covered in blood.
