CHAPTER NINE Stella ran into the New Haven Union Station’s historic building feeling breathless with tension. So much was riding on her hunch that Donny had fled by train. This was make or break. What happened in the next few minutes could affect the entire outcome of this case. Inside the high-roofed interior, she slowed for a moment, taking stock of her surroundings, hoping that by a miracle she might see Donny immediately. The station was bigger and busier than she’d expected.
