“No!” I yelled in response my voice filled with defiance.
“What?” Alpha Ballister questioned, perhaps surprised by my resistance, as if his ears couldn't believe what they had heard.
“I said no.” I repeated myself again, determined to make my stance clear. It wasn’t like I was going to throw myself at any man but hearing him utter those words, telling me who to stay clear off pissed me off. He didn’t care about me before so why the sudden change of attitude?
He threw his head back and let out a chuckle. An humorless one. “I’m not asking you, I am telling you,” he fired, his eyes burning with an intense glare that felt like daggers aimed at me.
