As I pull my hood over my head, I wonder why I lashed out on Lauren like that. It’s my fault. It seems like everything is my fault. The rain is soaking through my thin hoodie and into my hair, but I look up into the dark sky. No stars tonight, but the moon shines just as brightly. I just keep walking down the street, and feel the hard ground underneath me. Recognizing all of the small things, the way the wind teasingly ruffles the leaves, the clear moonshine, and the way my feet make a pit-pat sound.
